#taekook au || a casual idea-dump thread of taehyung, a sleep-deprived art major, always falling asleep during class, and jeongguk, the intern subbing for the prof on maternity leave, finds it endearing, waking him up by running his fingers through tae's hair while he's teaching
it makes tae startle awake, only to look up and see guk's smile and a raise of an eyebrow before he goes back to teaching, leaving taehyung's cheeks flaming in embarrassment and the whole class completely amused
ofc this means that jeongguk just realized tae's hair is really soft and he. rEally likes touching it. ya'll know what that means right
taehyung can't help the fact that he gets so little sleep with the bombardment of art assignments and his other classes, and guk never fails to wake him up by stroking his head, so casual even as tae flushes everytime
and one day, just when class ends, jeongguk goes, “taehyung? please stay seated.” and when everyone is gone, guk kneels in front of tae, soft smile on his face as he asks what he can do to make sure he stays awake during class.
tae's just internally dying bc this man? is so sweet? i'd be dying too? he explains how his art projects and everything keep him awake at night. and jeongguk goes, “want me to bring you coffee everyday?” at first taehyung snorts but then he realizes the man is 100% serious.
and so taehyung arrives to class the next day with a steaming cup of coffee on his desk :(
as the days go on (and coffee never fails to be on his desk), anytime jeongguk stands next to him as he teaches leaves taehyung so hyper-aware that he doesn't fall asleep dhfdjd
and even when he's awake, sometimes when jeongguk is walking around he'd just. thread his fingers through his hair for a split second, and mind you taehyung's breath would stop even when guk is so casual about it
playing with taehyung's hair while everyone's writing what's on the powerpoint? pLease taehyung learns to appreciate how it feels, sometimes leaning against guk's hand, which makes the intern's eyes widen, overtaken with fondness
the class is so tired with this btw they all realized how freakinf whipped jeongguk is and just. when are they gonna start dating come on.
y'all i'm crying so tae goes to the coffeeshop on a weekend and guess who he sees sitting at a booth, fast asleep in front of his laptop in a cozy blue sweater, jeans, and specs on his nose? that's right jeon jeongguk.
and when i tell you tae really couldn't help but push his fingers through guk's locks of hair shyly, cheeks rosy when the man opens his eyes and smiles when he sees it’s tae!!!
and they have a conversation and tae buys guk coffee this time since the other had been buying coffee for him for so long now :(( guk isn't much older than him, trying to get his masters, and for some reason taehyung really likes the thought of getting to know the other
he ends up bumping into jeongguk more often, like when the other is going to his classes (it's so different seeing him in such casual clothes like a hoodie, when he dresses so well whenever he teaches in front of his class)
they talk a lot more and even see each other at parties (omg y'all can imagine how THAT goes ohmygod). and yk, just single-handedly falling in love with each other :((
ever think about how after they're established, guk asks tae to stay after class, and once everyone's gone, he pulls tae close and kisses him roughly, breathing, “i've been wanting to do that all class period” afterward? no? okay guess it's just me
