One thing that I learned going to school with rich yt kids & something COVID has hammered home is people with a lot of privilege are shielded from their poor decisions thus are terrible at risk assessment. They don’t need to be in charge but that’s all they want & they get it.
I distinctly remember the flavor of frat bro who moved on campus as though they were already campaigning for a presidential run. Scary and weird af. And it’s wild to watch the country elect them and have to depend on them in a pandemic.
