still bickering, yjh grumbling a "you're not holding her well", (gently) fixing kdj's hold on the baby, kdj rolling his eyes and telling him to stop being paranoid (he is). when they're alone tho? fighting tooth and nail.

some maids climb the stairs of a more secluded part of the castle until a thunderous voice they can recognize as their king warns "come closer and I'll gouge your eyes out". they nope the fuck out of there. no one uses that path for a while.

if they heard some muffled moans before leaving...no one will ever know. if servants happened to enter a room and see the grinning queen on top of a tied and gagged, very furious looking king... they didn't.

at this point there are two sides - those who think they're overly infatuated, and those who think they just hate each other, but no one knows the truth for sure. as long as the kingdom keeps being safe and well ruled, it works out. the rest is none of their business.
