Hi! I just trained a model to draw in the style of the late Kim Jung Gi, as an hommage. I'm fairly happy with the results, given how complicated is his style. Hope you like it, feel free to use it by yourself (credit plz) : https://drive.google.com/drive... #KimJungGi #stablediffusion
Some upscales.
Hey! For some reason a few people are raising concerns about me pillaging his work or disrespecting his memory... Obviously this work, even if it was perfect, wouldn't replace an artist's mind and talent. It's just a new way of exploring his style. Be cool. 1/3
You can either embrace AI art, dismiss it or hate it but it's a new tool to make things and like every new tools before (digital painting, 3D) it won't destroy or replace anything, it's just a new weapon in our arsenal. As for the legality of making money out of it, well I'm not.
And for record, I do believe that it would be a very very gray line and there should be a debate other that. It won't be easy because we can control how much a style is used and make it almost invisible. For instance the first 3 are obvious but you probably won't get the 4th.
BTW I believe credits go to Joe Penna aka @MysteryGuitarM for designing and sharing to tool too make this on github and @Aitrepreneur for sharing tutorials to use it. Also, Niko Pueringer from the Corridor Crew. We just love AI tech and think it's a fun way of making stuff.
I am removing this file because AI training has come a long way since October 2022 and frankly the methods I used are now obsolete. I am proud to have held up under the pressure, no one in the world can decide for you if your approach is sincere. RIP KJG and rip kjg ai model.
@BG_5you Do you not see how disgusting this is, he passes away not even a week ago and youβre immediately cannibalising his work with your AI. If you want to pay real hommage to him do as his family asked and draw a simple flower or even buy an art book. Anything is better than this.
@BG_5you Youβve been insulted to all hell and back so Iβm going to explain why this was in poor taste 1. He died literally a few days ago, 2. Kim Jung Gi was someone who loved drawing. Like the act of drawing. Pretty much everyone whoβs an artist spends countless hours learning how to
@BG_5you The absolute gall you have to tell people to credit YOU. You who exploited the art of a man who passed THIS WEEK. This isn't an homage, it's disrespectful
@BG_5you Oh boy let's capitalise on that sweet trending hashtag by perverting the legacy of a man who's been dead for less than a week. This is grotesque on so many levels.
@BG_5you Wow this is so gross and disrespectful. It looks like shit and doesnβt come anywhere near his brilliant work, which was developed through a lifetime of honest hard work and practice- something you wouldnβt know anything about.
@BG_5you your parents must be so fucking ashamed of who they raised
@BG_5you This is the most disrespectful and garbage thing you could have decided to do as an "HoMaGe". And the fact that you're asking for credit for stealing a very recently deceased artist's work to cannibalize with your AI crap is disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourself.
@BG_5you Can you AI guys like, notβ¦??? In the off chance you are not doing this on purpose to vulture upon an influential artistβs untimely death, are you blind to why your results are an abomination compared to actual artistβs work? GTFO and leave the art community to its mourning.
@BG_5you You even have audacity to ask for credit
@BG_5you I knew someone gonna se his name in the timeline and think that it is good idea... It is not. This is just so wrong on so many levels
@BG_5you THE CHERRY IN THE FCKING TOP IS ASKING FOR CREDIT,,,,,
@BG_5you Congrats on being the most hated person in the art community; you deserved it π
@BG_5you Where has your heart gone dude. If you see why this is so inappropriate, why must you double down and try to explain it away? Justβ¦ donβt be rude, be sensitive to others. Itβs so simple!!
@BG_5you I hadn't seen a more pitiful thing in a while.
@BG_5you You really woke up and said "this is a good thing to do. The people will love this". Rethink everything if your instinct led you here. Choose a different path.
@BG_5you Damn, you suck.
@BG_5you Ultimate disrespect to do this and call it a homage - not to mention asking for credit! You clearly have no idea what made him or his work so unique and special Disgusting
@BG_5you this is a mean and rude and tasteless thing to do. and unkind, ghoulish and gross.
@BG_5you has anyone created an ai to simulate basic human decency yet because I think you might need to download that one
@BG_5you credit ???? you ask for credit ??????? naaaaaaah i don't think so
@BG_5you Bruh
@BG_5you This blows.
@BG_5you Yeah, dawg, even if this is an homage in respect of the dude, this is a pretty tone deaf way to do it. It would have been more respectful to just repost his art and give your respects, and if you wanted to do this to "explore his art", you could have done it privately.
