so much opportunity to build a better calendar if you could own the network (or if a better protocol) existed. - i'm running late - i'm free earlier - dynamic re-balancing if you're both free at different/better times also why do private notes on events not exist!!!
@lachygroom Omg so many things to do here. When you think of the calendar as the system of record for an orgs time there’s so many workflows downstream of it that could be automated/triggered/etc. calendar is core driver of so much critical biz logic. A $1T opp IMO
@lachygroom .@tryamie does private notes for the person you're meeting. more like a CRM.
@lachygroom Dude @calcom
@lachygroom boy do i have thoughts on this
@lachygroom Enter @readycalendar :)
@lachygroom Automatic notifications for running late - my phone has a GPS! Automatic group text integration. Help planning where to go for fair meet in the middle. Ahead of it’s time—Plannr. https://techcrunch.com/2010/08...
@lachygroom definitely play with @calcom ... most extensible code base and project with lots of innovation far surpassing calendly. the key is to be calendar email/infra-neutral.
@lachygroom "i'm running late, my hair cut ran over"
@lachygroom Also ability to have everyone who needs to attend a call send their calendar link to an api which then auto books the first open slot available across everyone’s calendar
@lachygroom De facto oligopoly
@lachygroom Next LGF incubated product pls.
@lachygroom All new calendar apps just try make incremental changes that increase their value by 1.1-3x but no more. The calendar should be redesigned from scratch. The people with the most incentive to do this are Apple & Google, but they have even greater incentive to do nothing & make 💰
@lachygroom Another use case: I am sick and need to cancel all my meetings tomorrow - the horror of having to notify each person…
@lachygroom Calendars are a complete backwater of innovation. We are stuck managing our calendars in the same boring ways and it's more manual work to set a meeting than ever. Time for a change !
@lachygroom @risecal for flexible events, @reflectnotes for private notes on events
@lachygroom Only feature missed: it’s a waste of time talking to this person — working on this project right now
@lachygroom have you checked out @reclaimai?
@lachygroom Check out http://usemotion.com, they have all the features you listed :)
@lachygroom I’ve seen some @warmlyai calendar invites that include a “running late” button, but I’ve never used it because text is faster
@lachygroom @amazon internal meeting software, Chime, has the first feature and Im told it’s pretty helpful
