If I wanted to get ahead in my career in my 20s— I'd do these six things religiously:

1. Ask for help. This shows humility & strength. While also allowing you to grow.

2. Speak up. If you don't advocate for yourself— Nobody will.

3. Address conflict. Avoiding conflict is the #1 reason people fail. Attacking it will its small prevents it from getting big.

4. Embrace failure. Making a mistake is okay. Not trying is the only way to fail.

5. Don't back down. Did you get denied a promotion/raise? Ask for feedback, then implement what you learned. This makes it practically impossible to stagnate.

6. Be adaptable. This enables you to grow quickly. Our careers rarely go as planned, try to go with the flow.
