In a Premier Inn. And the windows are sealed shut. No fresh air at all. I'm finding it oppressive. The sticker on the window reads "don't panic." I've spoken to the manager, who says it's the way things are now, and "at least it's greener." This is getting absolutely ridiculous.

@lauracesca__ Greener? So they have to have a fan running 24/7 rather than just open a window? 20 years ago all this bullshit was because 'elf n safety'. Now the same bullshit is 'climate change'. It's all rather tiring.

@HotelLubyanka Yes. The logic just isn't there. Never is with this shit. I'm all for healthy and safety, but that's why you have the windows that open a couple centimetres with the safety lock. That's fine. Sealed windows is not.

@lauracesca__ @paul43471534 I have to be able to open a window in a hotel room. Very claustrophobic otherwise. Many hotels keep a few freestanding fans. Maybe request one if they have them or stick the air conditioning on to move the air and wear a jumper.

@WimbledonWombl2 @paul43471534 So claustrophobic! I hadn't thought of that. Thank you, will go and ask now.

@lauracesca__ Just like the trains and buses you can't even open windows or the door, I also hate it. India is cool, no health and safety or green nonsense.

@lauracesca__ Or maybe its because of suicidal people that think it's OK to try and jump out of the window?? I know this as I was a Duty Manager for Premier Inn for a few years
