Breaking down winning ads #3 This video ad has generated more than: ➡️ 15M impressions ➡️ 600k clicks ➡️ $2M in sales The video that’s been running for the past 2 years and is still getting sales Here's what makes this ad an absolute winner:
1. Thumbnail Like on the previous winning ad, the thumbnail must be a piece that will stop your audience to scroll Here it’s focused on the neck which is of critical importance for the target audience (older women) where the skin is not elastic and good-looking as it used to be
With: > hands in gloves in the thumbnail, > lines, and > numbers, it looks like it’s a more science-based approach which is a little bit different compared to all the other skincare brands on the market It’s a custom-made thumbnail and this image is NOT present in the video
2. Header in the video “For a neck that turns heads” Women of older demographic usually (not all) tend to lose confidence when looking at younger women 🙄 Primarily because they start to feel shy after some time cause their skin isn’t at the top of their game
They want to feel desired like they were 20-30 years ago so this line picked up their attention They imagine how it was to look beautiful and youthful again Why does it work? > cause you are pointing out their biggest wish
3. Ad copy The start of the copy is used so the person can identify themselves with the problem After we get their interest, it’s about >putting emphasis on the problem >coming up with the story >presenting them a solution (which brand created through a scientific approach)
4. Headline We’ve noticed that people like to see that is something science-based nowadays When you combine it with “stats” (45%) it adds to the credibility of the message That’s why we were not shocked when we figured out that “Research Shows” was a banger in this case
5. Video - Hook Straight as the video starts, you see a lady saying that no one believes she is 75 Wooow 😲 The target audience wonders how's that possible And hope that they can have a beautiful neck like the lady in the video. You sparked their desire to look better
6. UGC mashup Testimonials are going one after another, 6 of them before we jump onto the scientist who is behind the brand. Firstly we want to pump up an audience to believe it’s achievable How have the others done it
In the whole video, you’ll see more than 10 different people Those are real testimonials, not paid actors We just pulled the best words from each person Those mashups usually act as social proof that your product actually works
7. Science-based approach Dr. Janet Zand is the face of the brand, She goes and says a few more smart things around the neck By having her in the video, we’re building authority as a brand. Listen, Doc knows what’s good and what's not, right? 😉
8. Captions If you’re having a person speaking in the video, you should NOT have a video without captions on it More than 80% of the people on the platform scroll with muted audio You could be missing some sales if you don’t have captions
9. Pacing Due to Tiktok, the pacing of the ads is tremendously speed-up There’s a new frame every 1.5 seconds, but in this case, the target audience is boomers and Millenials - used to the regular speed and need more education and info That’s why the editing is not so fast
10. CTA At the end of the video, you can notice that goal isn’t to sell the product It is to further educate and inform the target audience It’s done easily via CTA to click on the link or CTA button
