@4dango_the2nd This is truly beautiful! In portuguese we have a word "Saudade" that means that feeling of longing for a place or someone that care and love, who you haven't been with/haven't visited in a long time. I feel Wanderer's story suits that word so well.

@cherry_vane I was debating between hiraeth and saudade! But some translations of saudade imply it's a longing for something that might never have existed? So I got confused 😭

@4dango_the2nd hello! welsh person here, hiraeth is actually a word that is welsh specific meaning a homesickness and a mourning for the loss of our culture. it's a word without any form of english equivalent because it was made from the pain of our ancestors who had their culture censored—

@4dango_the2nd the reason that there’s not a japanese version is that it’s an incredibly specific word, that doesn’t translate to english well either. to my understanding it means a homesickness for cymru, or specifically a pre-colonization cymru. I recommended hearing what welsh creators say!
