Ecom Brands Owners Do you want to get more revenue from your FB Ads with just 1 small tweak in the ad account? Start using post ID & Combine it with the Asset Customization It's an easy fix & can lower your CPA drastically How? Check the exact step-by-step process:

Using post ID enables you to gather all the social proof on the unique identifier, which makes your ads way more powerful Using asset customization enables you to have one format shown on the feed, other on the story, making the ad look native to placement Let's combine that:

I suggest always having 1 Ad Builder Campaign That's a campaign that is always turned OFF, you just create all your ads there It's easier to do iterations when you have an original ad stored in the builder campaign But let's get to post ID process

When creating the ad, DON'T add any additional format initially You want to select only 1 format Usually > 1:1 for images > 4:5 for videos After you created the ad and published it Go to: 1. Preview 2. Share 3. Facebook post with the comments

You'll get a link that looks like this: > Facebook. com/[pageID]/posts/[postID] You want to copy the post ID and store it somewhere near the name of your "original" ad You can do it in the > Ad builder, in the ad name > In a sheet with all your names and post IDs

The next step is to go to the campaign where you want to use your ad No matter if it's testing or scaling campaign Now when creating the ad you want to select > "Use existing post" Then you paste the post ID Notes > make sure to rename the ad properly > make sure to use UTMs

Now you have an ad that gathers all the social proof under one ad, no matter how many times and in what campaigns you duplicate it But, you still have an issue with asset customization Cause, your original format would be shown weirdly on reels and story placement

So, here's the trick you have been waiting for On the ad level, below the link section Click > "Edit placement" & "Select a placement to edit" After selecting it, it would open a new interface You click "Change" and select the appropriate format for the placement you chose

After that, you click "Save" and "Publish" And now you have a perfect setup > Ad that is gathering all social proof > Ad that's native to all placements For some reason, FB is forcing us to find these workarounds instead of making this simpler I hope you found this valuable!

How does using post ID actually work in the ad account? Check below: https://x.com/IstvanicMarin/st...

Yeah, it's technical and complicated to keep track of all the changes and features FB is constantly publishing but As a brand owner, you don't have to worry about these things with the right team on your side Where to find the right team? DM me to see if we are a good fit.

@IstvanicMarin And the customized assets will not create a new post ID? All placements social proof will go to one single post ID?

@ron_ecomm no new post ID, cause you created post ID before you added asset customization that's the trick, doing it after taking post ID

@IstvanicMarin The master!

@IstvanicMarin How do we use post id in a carousel ad format? Any changes made to a carousel type ad, and the engagement starts from zero.

@nischalsharma94 you can't make change to any ad and keep engagement

@IstvanicMarin since instagram and facebook posts have different post IDs, how can i duplicate ads and keep the post-ID for both platforms in this new ad? or do i have to chose between the ID from facebook or the ID from Instagram?

@IstvanicMarin Hey. Thx for this thread. Why don't you put the 9:16 format right after you uploaded 1:1 format ?

@CrystopheLecoin cause then I don't have ability to use post ID and gather social proof

@IstvanicMarin Thank you so much for sharing this. I use a similar method like this, but when i dupe the ads, for facebook feed it keeps the social proof, but for instagram feed, it creates a new instagram post, so the social proof is gone in there. Is there any workaround of that?

@IstvanicMarin Literally tried this for an hour, didn’t do any assest customization (original frame 1:1, no optimization, nothing) and still, I never get an ad with post ID. Always get the http://business.fb.com/permali... URL.. Anybody able to help?

@IstvanicMarin This seems to get really messy with carousel ads, especially when trying to edit the Instagram placements… have you found this?

@IstvanicMarin When i try to take my post id out of a dynamic creative, i get the message “this post is created on a personal profile, not on this page” while i just create all my ads under the same page in the admanager. Do you know what this is?

@Ecomparadigm Did you follow the steps on clicking on the time stamp of a particular variation from Dynamic creative?
