proof that critical role is scripted (not clickbait)

@marisharaygun Sarcasm. It must have eluded you, as this is sarcasm.

@kjulson no waaaayyyyy

@marisharaygun Like Yasha herself, Int 12/Wis 11, subtlety and sarcasm seem to have gone over your head. There no way the reactions to the wine bottles or Weaton's rolls are scripted.

@sabrorisser do you genuinely think i'm being serious lmfao

@marisharaygun i do always love that liam is the one who reminds us about the script every time. must be one of the main writers and proud of his work 🥰

@marisharaygun Obviously he's joking, but the fact still remains that Critical Role is a combination of pre-planned (maybe even scripted, at least sometimes) dialogue, pre-discussed action, and improv. The improv is iffy.

@marisharaygun This is obviously Liam's sarcasm. Also: In order to ACTUALLY script it would (a) take wayyyy more work than just PLAYING the game and IMPROVSING it and (b) would require HUGE ACTING SKILLS to pull off some of these scenes WITH NO EDITING. (Proof: "Jester's Cupcake" C2 E93)

@marisharaygun Ashley is a great actress, she really nails the scripted reactions :) /j

@marisharaygun What have you done, all the comments not understanding sarcasm and going OFF

@marisharaygun I mean, if we're really into it, all ttrpgs are somewhat scripted. Though as scripted it can be, the dice rolls rule, therefore, they don't know if someone will fall, or will die. Also, they don't seem to know what will happen to others, kinda like what happened to Bertrand Bell

@marisharaygun Man these comments are missing your sarcasm, the whole ‘scripted’ thing has been a running gag since early Talks episodes lol

@marisharaygun @critrolememes This is actually why I stopped watching Critical Role, something was lost after the first season. It became so... Idk how to explain it, produced?

@marisharaygun Fwiw, critical role is not scripted as in they get actual lines. It's very obviously a joke. Before my games I ask my players what they wanna do so I can prepare—with how fleshed out Matt's world is, I doubt he even does that. Collaborating with the player is not a "script".

@marisharaygun Regardless if scripted or not, I'm always enthralled in the story and the constant character developments. If it's scripted, I'm sure it's with the intention to entertain. And the rolls of the dice can't be scripted (cheated and faked maybe - but they call each other out always)

@marisharaygun Pffttt Lol

@marisharaygun I knew it! /s

@marisharaygun It's impossible to be scripted. No one's acting is THAT good. Their sessions are 3-4 hours long and WITHOUT edits (cuts) apart from the break. There are no mistakes in their "lines". Besides, there's no context to this video, they could be talking about Sam's commercials FFS.
