💃 TikTok thread! This week, I worked on 3 viral TikToks for 3 very different @FutureFriendsVG clients. 🍰 Gourdlets - 300K 🌠 Europa - 400K 🧛 Vampire Survivors - 600K Here's a quick rundown of how we did it. If you missed my GDC talk about TikTok, this'll be a good primer.
1. Gourdlets!! 🔥 An attention-grabbing hook 👑 Friendly v/o from @AuntyGames 👶 Aimed at newcomers 📽️ Brisk but coherent editing showing how the game grows during play
2. Europa!! 👀 Unbroken gameplay footage, as high-res as possible ⛰️ Let @HelderHP 's incredible art do the talking ✒️ Minimal text but still including a keyword ('Ghibli')
3. Vampire Survivors!! 😎 Humblebrag like hell 🏆 Another great hook (BAFTA baby!!) that intrigues folks who don't know the game 📈 Trending meme format 🧄 Jokey followup post also got 100K
Basically: If the main draw is gameplay, explain it. If the main draw is visuals, let them breathe. If the game feels a bit silly, LEAN IN. Also: Have a strong hook, show something interesting from frame one, and try to speak in the cadence of the app.
Also should stress that none of this is just down to me. I had tons of help from other Future Friends, esp @Olima. & the lion's share of credit goes to the devs who make 🔥🔥🔥 games in the first place. 💃 THREAD CONCLUDETH 💃

I tried to replicate the pace of the videos, but the recent videos didn't perform very well... Maybe we post too often now 🤷♂️
