Advantage Shopping+ Campaigns is currently the best-performing campaign in most of our ad accounts Here's how to maximize the efficiency of those campaigns and improve your ROAS We are using this exact setup for our 8 & 9-fig clients [You would want to bookmark this]

1. Run on: 1-day click or 7-day click attribution setting Otherwise, you are risking FB over-attributing A LOT of view-through conversions that are not so incremental. Set your starting budget at the budget you usually set for your scaling CBO.

2. Cap budget buyers to max 15% ASC has a cool ability to show a breakdown of performance for existing and new customers How to access it and make the best use of it? From the ad set, you'll be taken to the Account level where you put the audience - I put buyers & purchases

After that, put the % cap on the ad set level This is something we asked FB to create for a while now, and it's now available only for ASC We want to avoid non-incremental conversions, so we treat our ASC+ purely as prospecting Capping the budget for buyers' audience does that

To check the results go to breakdown at the top right corner, select "Breakdown by delivery" and then select "Audience type" After installing the cap your FB ROAS could look worse, but your NB/TW ROAS should improve BONUS: You can also set different UTMs for different segments

3. Creatives Use mostly proven winners from the account, as this campaign type uses learning from the existing ads I like to import between 5-10 ads It's a mix of ads FB suggested to import + my selection Sometimes I even have 2 different ASC, 1 for statics, and 1 for videos

Be careful about including catalog ads. It can take most of the budget, but I have also seen it outperforming all other ads in ASC+ in few ad accounts Be aware of importing IG stories/reels as they get cropped funny as ASC is running on Auto placement.

4. Optimization Import new winners once a week or when you see a performance dip. Increase the budget as you would in your regular campaign, although ASC+ is less budget responsive (so far)

Optimize on the ad level, as you would in your regular campaign. Turn off ads with high CPA, or that spent too much and didn't get a sale. Don't have a "set & forget" approach. When creating new ASC+ make sure to use different creatives than in your active ASC+

5. Bonus uses of the ASC+ 1) As a Testing campaign Basically, instead of adding just winners, use this ASC to test all the new creatives 2) Have ASC per product or per range 3) Combine it with "Shop" Currently performing great on a few of my accounts where Shop is live

Although ASC+ is kind of a "black box" and we don't really know why it works, it still works really great in the majority of our ad accounts with the setup in this thread. Want me to set this up for you? DM me "ASC" and let's have a chat.

@IstvanicMarin Bookmarked! Thanks

@IstvanicMarin First step would be to have at least 5-10 winning ads... most brands still don't 😒

@dtc_alchemist but then start with 3 or use 5 that are better then the rest of the ads in the ad account

@IstvanicMarin Definitely a thread to bookmark πŸ“Œ

@nikitavakhrushv thank youπŸ™Œ

@IstvanicMarin awesome thread Marin, thank you. Quick question: what do you mean by combine it with shop?

@perfomand some of the US accounts/brands have a Shop section where you can buy directly on FB/IG so for the clients that have Shop enabled, we combined it with ASC

@IstvanicMarin Great value Marin as always πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ I’ll test it tomorrow

@pedro_ecom keep me posted on how it works

@IstvanicMarin Thanks for sharing! Great insights

@IstvanicMarin Thanks @IstvanicMarin . Testing this now!!

@ivyvillezas keep me posted on the results

@IstvanicMarin Is advantage shopping + campaign for scaling only or can you use it on testing too?

@Animal_Ecom I mostly use it for scaling Recently experimenting with using it for testing as well

@IstvanicMarin Curious to hear your thoughts. Any specific reason for avoiding website visitors in existing? My logic behind it is that it’s additional data that would also contain a degree of engaged customers + brings a clearer divide between prospecting for new audiences and retargeting.

@grantedmeades it depends on the ad account for some clients that care mostly about New Customers and we include wv as well, as we want ASC as pure prospecting

@IstvanicMarin You always give the most practical advices! Thanks Marin 🫑

@variosca22 appreciate it hopefully they are working on your side as well πŸ˜‚

@IstvanicMarin Never used AS+ Campaigns. Would you say that it needs more budget in order to improve better? Or with which budget would you suggest to start? (Given AOV is 40$)

@olsson_jannik use a bit higher budget then in the regular ad set, similar to the budget used in scaling CBO
