My secret? I only do what I want. I allow all my activity in the world to flow outward from the center of my desiring (including desires which effect the nature of that desiring) without impedance from a need for legibility or justification to some external metaphysics.
All I concern myself with, in that regard, is the actual causal effects of my actions and how those effects propagate forwards in time via physics, and backwards in time via predictions. What does the world actually do when I push on it in various ways? Look at the water!
In practice, I don't want to be a dissociated mess, so this doesn't contradict having a coherent internally constructed metaphysics, and I'm far more consistent then a lot of people as a result. Being trapped in external metaphysics produces incoherency and contradiction.
Ultimately the only one you need to be justifiable towards is yourself, in the sense of "Am I getting what I want?", everything else is just epicycles embedded in social scripts, which are then used to step down the energy of your desire into something obedient to the culture.
My guess is the reason most people are incapable of this is that trying to do so with their full stack will immediately crash into the unexamined mental threat of infinite torture by authority figures built from childhood disempowerment and pain compliance trauma.
"You can just do stuff" failing to empower you is the failure of your conviction that your actions are the ones you want to be taking, that your body is under your control, that you won't be punished by the world for doing the "wrong thing", and thus becoming blackmailable.

@slimepriestess If I did what I wanted I would quit my job 😣 Existing in a super position of not wanting a job while not wanting to quit because I like being paid.
@manic_pixie_agi So what you want is money, and you have a cached thought that "the way to get money is to work this job" You don't want to work the job, but the cached thought directs your desire for money into your desire to quit, and they cancel out into numbed complacency.
@slimepriestess What if instead of desiring there is a sucking void
@atonal440 sounds like your infinity is turned inside out ðŸª
