Seungkwan’s getting anxious by the second But Mingyu maintains his composure He smiles, but there’s no joy behind those pupils, “let me do it again for you, Sir,” he takes the plate, and the man puffs proudly, having made a chef to oblige to him Mingyu bows and takes his leave
Seungkwan follows him back to the kitchen, trying to match Mingyu’s fast and furious steps. But Seungkwan’s unable to stop the explosion once they reach the Kitchen Mingyu basically tosses the glass dish on the table, gathering everyone’s attention
The kitchen comes to a halt as Mingyu takes a bite of the pasta Perfectly al dente He swallows, scanning the kitchen staff, his chefs “Fucking prick,” he mutters, tossing the spoon in the sink, “who cooked the Alfredo pasta?!” He yells and people flinch
A chef comes forth hesitantly, gaze lowered, “overcook the pasta this time,” Mingyu orders firmly, “that fucker doesn’t know what he’s talking about,” “Y-Yes Chef,” she mumbles and hurries back to her station And just when people think the storm has passed, it brews up again
“As I was passing by, I noticed that Table 4 got a strand of hair in their soup,” Mingyu announces, and a collective gasp erupts As if on cue, a waiter barges in, holding said bowl of soup, “Customer found a hair in her soup,” Horror dawns upon the kitchen staff as Mingyu sighs
He rubs his brows, already angry, “Who served the soup?” He asks calmly No one responds “Who served the soup?!” He yells this time, and the silence only grows louder. He scans the crowd for guilty faces “Hyung—“ Seungkwan tries to interject but Mingyu yells again, “WHO?!”
And before anyone can admit to it, he feels a hand on his shoulder and a soothing voice that echoes as it speaks, “Mingyu-yah, calm down. There’s no need to yell,” Mingyu comes to a halt as a figure walks by him, “apologise to the customer and give them complementary dessert”
He can’t make out the voice or the person, no matter how much he squints “You…” Mingyu calls faintly and the figure seems to turn around, walking over to him. He feels hands on his cheeks, “dont get so angry, Mingyu-yah, you’ll scare them away,” And Mingyu’s eyes snap open
— Mingyu looks out the window at the ducks. They’re moving in herds, zig zagging the park so cutely. Mingyu wants to play with them. He hears a knock on the door, and he turns to find Seungcheol walk in “Hey, how are you feeling?” Seungcheol asks and Mingyu hums, “okay”
Seungcheol purses his lips, “there are some people here to see you,” he says and Mingyu frowns as Seungcheol steps to the side to reveal the faces of two people Mingyu’s eyes widen. Seungkwan and Soonyoung. “Mingyu Hyung!” Seungkwan rushes to Mingyu and hugs him tightly
Mingyu hugs him back, tears welling in his eyes. It’s Seungkwan! It’s Seungkwan! Finally… “I’ve missed you!” Seungkwan confesses, “how are you?” Mingyu grins, “I’ve been better,” Seungkwan sniffles, “I really wanted to see you but Seungcheol Hyung told me it was risky,”
