The most useful razors and rules I've found: 1. Bragging Razor - If someone brags about their success or happiness, assume it’s half what they claim If someone downplays their success or happiness, assume it’s double what they claim 2. High Agency Razor - If unsure who to work

On the Everyday Razor, here's the spreadsheet: 1. If you go from doing a task weekly to daily, you achieve 7 years of output in 1 year. 2. If you then apply a 1% compound interest each time, you achieve 54 years of output in 1 year

@george__mack I love that this was not 20 separate tweets

@george__mack All of these pale in comparison to @elonmusk Razor.

@george__mack This is cool. I really enjoyed it. You must’ve had to spend a lot of time observing behaviour, interaction and outcome to substantiate each thing. People are so interesting, most of these I’ve also found to be the case. A few exceptions

@george__mack I didn’t read all of these, but Taleb’s is idiotic: just choose the surgeon with the better record. Hopefully the rest aren’t as doorknob dumb.

@george__mack Alder's razor: If something cannot be settled by experiment or observation, then it is not worthy of debate.

@george__mack The Roman Empire never fell. They rule most of the world today.

@george__mack Bragging razor.... Isn't that just if someone brags more assume they're American and half as successful and if someone brags less assume they're twice as smart and British?

@george__mack Great list - I've got another one: The double edged razor - assume that 10% of good advice will end badly, and 10% of bad advice will end well. Don't let the utility of good advice totally subsume flexibility. The future twists; be ready.

@george__mack Nice piece. Enjoyed the read. ⚡️

@george__mack I really thought u were gonna make a thread about actual razors, started reading ,am bummed on the hunt for a good'un

@george__mack this is great persoective

@george__mack W post! I love it ♥️

@george__mack Excellent thread

@george__mack Love these

@george__mack 1, 3, 4, 11, 12, 13 are solid gold. You can change your entire life with thise. Especially when you combine 3 + 13. Take 3 + 4 + 16 and you're got an equation for success. Long term thinking will always win. 💯

@george__mack Will be discussing these with my kids

@george__mack high quality, thought provoking content. Thank you

@george__mack These are all great! My 5 favorites are: High agency Razor Creativity Razor Everyday Razor Physics Razor Luck Razor

@george__mack I've loved the one that says: you're a mere extra in someone's else movie 😆 I wish I already knew this when I was 16!

@george__mack I'll definitely give No. 4 a try; it holds a profound significance. No. 1 and 6 are known facts. No. 7 is among the reasons that drive me to put in the effort. No. 8 is also undeniably true. No. 11 offers valuable insights and helps broaden perspectives.

@george__mack Maaan, this is kinda sucks, feel luck? You can’t feel so it so biased and random so this is baaad. Better to imagine any bad luck of decision, called risk management.

@george__mack Great stuff

@george__mack Like the tweet, thanks!

@george__mack Simply fabulous. I found Bezoz Razor real tricky one. On the hindsight, most of us would wanna simply leave all the hustle, struggles or challenges.

@george__mack Ummmm you should change the name of #11 razor …. I have a feeling Bezos is going to have some regrets at 90 when Mckenzie and his children aren’t at his deathbed (I doubt Miss Sánchez will even be there)
