“Which disease do you prefer my child get?” This, or some variation of it, is one of @thereal_truther’s favorite rhetorical devices, which he employs in the hopes of making a discussion so uncomfortable as to silence you. 🧵 1/
While it’s highly unlikely that you’d wish any disease befall his children, the irony of him posing this false question is unavoidable when you recognize that he has made the very choice for his children that he’s now using as a hypothetical foil to wrong-foot you. 2/
This series explores the manipulation, the dishonesty, and the hypocrisy of @thereal_truther on the topics of COVID vaccinations and boosters, and how his private actions/inactions differ markedly from his public words, especially where children (including his) are concerned. 3/
The unavoidable fact is that @thereal_truther, who so zealously promoted the COVID vaccine throughout the pandemic, wasn’t as committed when it came time to boost himself and vaxx his own children—despite what he advocated for others, including pregnant women and children. /4
For evidence of this, we need look no further than his words and actions regarding his, and his family’s, vaccine journey. The following timeline (based on public information, and personal information that he’s publicly shared in his tweets) illustrates the relevant events. 5/
HIS TIMELINE Reviewing his timeline, the following is indisputable: 1) He was fully committed to vaccinating himself, as he told us on 3/1/21: “Which is why I will get vaccinated as soon as I can!” 2) True to his word, he received his first dose 25 days later on 3/26/21. 6/
3) Interestingly, he received his first dose 20 days BEFORE his age group’s eligibility (4/15/21). It’s unlikely this suggests anything nefarious, as he was likely eligible as the spouse of a healthcare worker. However, it certainly demonstrate his eagerness to be vaccinated. 7/
4) He received his second (and final) dose on 4/17/21—two days after his age group became eligible to receive their first dose. Again, the timing of this is likely suggestive of nothing other than his full confidence in the vaccines, and his eagerness to be vaccinated. 8/
5) Booster vaccinations became available in CA for his age group in Sept, 2021. 6) He was infected and developed COVID around the end of Dec, 2021. 9/
CHILDREN’S TIMELINE 7) On 8/07/21 he was fully committed to vaccinating his children, saying: “My wife is a doctor & will vaccinate our children once it’s approved.” 8) CA 5-11 year olds were eligible for the Pfizer vaccine on 11/3/21. 10/
9) On 9/23/21 he claims that COVID is far more dangerous for kids than chickenpox. 10) Infected by him, his children got COVID Dec, 2021. 11) He claims on 3/21/22 “Anyone can benefit from at least one dose post-infection,” while his children have received zero, pre or post. 11/
DISCUSSION A) His early confidence in the mRNA vaccines, and eagerness to be vaccinated, is undeniable. Not only was he first-dosed before the general eligibility of his age group, but he was FULLY vaccinated on just the second day of his age group’s eligibility. 12/
It would be completely out of character for @thereal_truther to not play fast-and-loose with the facts, and even when it comes to something as fundamental as the dates of his jabs, he does not disappoint. 13/
As shown above, he tweeted on 4/2/21, “I got my first dose last Friday” (i.e., 3/26/21); and again on 4/30/21, “Fully vaccinated! As of tomorrow it will be two weeks since my 2nd dose” (i.e., 4/17/21). However, as shown in two subsequent tweets, he tells a different story: 14/
It’s unthinkable that @thereal_truther would forget the date of such a seminal event in his life. Frankly, its more believable that he’d forget the dates of his anniversary, and his wife’s and children’s birthdays, before forgetting his vaccination dates. 15/
The original dates (3/26/21 and 4/17/21) were used for the dates of his vaccinations in the timeline because they make more sense, and were stated more contemporaneously than the others. As to why he would lie about the dates (its unlikely he forgot), one can only imagine. 16/
C) In just 22 days (3/26/21 - 4/17/21), he went from unvaccinated to FULLY vaccinated. What, then, happened in the intervening 6 months that caused him to lose that eagerness and urgency where getting boosted was concerned? 17/
As late as 12/15/21 (just days before he got infected and developed COVID), he was still promoting boosters and the need—for others—to get boosted. Why did he not get boosted himself after becoming eligible on 10/17/21? Why didn’t he get boosted with his wife on ~10/28/21? 18/
D) He has long made flippant excuses for why he’s not boosted; like on 3/19/22 claiming that he has, “Super Immunity.” The fact that he would then turnaround 3 days later & claim, “Anyone can benefit from at least one dose post-infection,” shows him for the hypocrite he is. 19/
E) In mid/late Dec 2021, he was infected and developed COVID, and in turn infected his entire family. Note how he distinguishes between his boosted mother-in-law (asymptomatic), his unvaccinated children (had it the worst), and he and his wife (the equivalent of a cold). 20/
So, why would he mention that his MIL was boosted, but not mention his wife was? Simple: because, if you knew his boosted wife got COVID just like her unboosted husband, he couldn’t sell you the lie that his MIL’s booster is what prevented her infection from becoming COVID. 21/
He’s attempting to manipulate you into concluding that: o Vaxxed and boosted = prevented disease (no symptoms) o Vaxxed = lessened severity of disease (cold-like) o Unvaxxed = fever and vomiting He doesn’t want you to clue in that his wife’s illness belies his fairytale. 22/
F) He managed to get fully vaxxed in just 22 days. Why couldn’t he find the time over ~50 days to vaccinate his children before he infected them? G) What changed to dampen his enthusiasm for vaccinating his children between 8/7/21 and 11/3/21? 23/
Interestingly, the change, whatever it was, overlaps the period where his enthusiasm for boosters also waned inexplicably. What didn’t wane, was his zealous pushing of the vaccines and boosters on OTHERS, while making very different decisions for himself and his family. 24/
H) Why are his kids vaxxed for chickenpox, but not COVID, when he claims that COVID is far more dangerous for kids than chickenpox? I) Why have his post-infection children received no COVID jabs, when he claims, “Anyone can benefit from at least one dose post-infection,”? 25/
SUMMARY Turning his question on him, the answer is resoundingly clear: the disease that he’d prefer his child get is, COVID. The vaccines are safe & effective for everyone else’s children, but not for his. A post-infection booster is beneficial to anyone, just not to him. 26/
Frankly, his confusion surrounding the dates of his own vaccination is such, that it’s reasonable to wonder if he’s even vaxxed. But, one thing is clear: No individual is a more manipulative proponent of COVID vaccination, or a more dishonest hypocrite, than @thereal_truther. /27
@Faceles007 Love it. You captured the @thereal_truther zeitgeist perfectly!
@surrealtruther Masterclass.
@not_voltaire Thank you!
@surrealtruther I’ve debated him a few times and every time he comes with these prepared points which are easily refuted. It’s clear he knows exactly what he’s doing. How far will one man go to avoid admitting he was wrong?
@surrealtruther interesting read- thank you!!
