One of the reasons to use 3rd party tracking software is that it can track NEW customers' purchases This is extremely important for all businesses with high repeat customer rates, like supplements But now, I'm tracking NC ROAS on the platform Here's how:
As mentioned, most of my clients care about NEW purchases, cause they don't want to spend money to get sales from the existing customers So now in connection with @runConverge that's possible inside the platform These guys created an event "NEW Customer Purchase" which is fired
...only when a sale from a NEW customer happens in Shopify Then I create a Custom Conversion out of that custom event, which is now included in my reports The next step is to create a custom conversion for NC ROAS which is just Revenue generated from New customers/Amount spent
This is extremely valuable for my optimization, because in some cases, certain campaigns have good ROAS, but actually pretty low NC ROAS I experienced this with: > static ads > Web+Shop campaigns So then I'm actually decreasing the budget on those campaigns/ads Next step?
I haven't yet tried it, but I plan to use this custom conversion as my optimization event In theory, it should force FB to go after only NEW customers, which should result in FB being more efficient in finding those people. I'll keep you posted on the results.
@PhilKiel this is what I was talking about the other day
Do you run a DTC brand and need help scaling your store? 🚀 We'll help you maximize the efficiency of your FB ad account and add an extra 5-6 fig/month WITHOUT any extra ad spend Go here & stop making the same mistake and burning your money on ad spend: https://bit.ly/inspiremarin
@IstvanicMarin Highly recommend tracking NC CPA and ROAS. We do this at UpStackified, and the results have been excellent for scaling acquisition campaigns https://apps.shopify.com/upsta...
@IstvanicMarin how much does it cost
@bootyclapper29 it's based on the revenue in the last 12m. Don't have the exact cost per revenue tho
@IstvanicMarin Probabaly the best reason to use 3rd party tracking
@michaelj_amato can't argue with that
@IstvanicMarin Okayy. This is it 🔥
@IstvanicMarin Meta let's u define existing customer lists and % spend on existing customers. I've found this to be horribly inaccurate (most of what they label as new customers turn out not to be). Is this generally the case and why people have to look for alt means?
@IstvanicMarin @IstvanicMarin Do you even need 3rd party tracking then? I'm member of daily mentor, some of the media buying mentors there told me there's no actual reason for 3rd party tracking anymore. What do you think?
@realitymarius i think it's still helpful to use it when you are running multiple channels, as there's often an overlap between them
@IstvanicMarin So did you try it?
