CTR of your ad depends on your niche, audience & messaging We try to aim for at least 1% but there are accounts having an average of 0.5% as well as some with over 3% So, what to do when your CTR has dropped or is too low? Let's dive into how to spot and fix the problems:

1) CTR is low from the start (image) It means visual is not attracting the users and getting the attention OR there's an audience mismatch or you are speaking to the audience in the wrong way Solution: > Check your competitors' ads > Create new concepts > Change messaging

2) CTR is low from the start (video) The creative isn't grabbing the attention or Your hook is too clickbaity or There's no clear CTA Solution: > Rework your hook and make it aligned with the rest of the video > Check the "hold rate" custom metric > Introduce clear CTA

3) CTR is dropping a) The frequency is high Seeing the same ad can be annoying The frequency on the ad set level is okay if there are multiple ads within the ad set, but the issue is when it's high on the AD level Solution > Introduce new ads

In general, most likely, the reason is that your creative is not interesting enough or your message is attracting the wrong audience Get back to the basics > Find out what jargon your audience uses, and incorporate that into your messaging > Create ads relevant to them

@IstvanicMarin Is it the "CTR (Link click-through rate)" metric you are looking at? There are so many different so I'm unsure which one is the most accurate to look at.

@Peter_Kucerka CTR is a useless metric without knowing CPM in your case, CPM is super small, so that's why CTR is low as well

@IstvanicMarin If CTR drops, test new hooks, tighten your audience targeting, or refresh your creative. Fresh ideas bring fresh clicks!
