7 steps to write, record, and launch your first 7-figure video course—even if you’ve never built a digital product before: (Going to take you inside our Premium Ghostwriting Academy as an example. $3M+ revenue in our first year.)
Step 1: Name The Modules All digital products are just a series of modules, strung together, to help a customer achieve a specific goal. So, start backwards: • What's the end goal? • What are the steps to get there? Make each step a module.
Step 2: Prep The Page Here's an outline you can use to "prep" an entire module: • "In this module, we'll cover..." • "To start, avoid these mistakes..." • "Instead, take these action steps..." • "You probably have these questions/objections..." • "Here's your assignment!"
Step 3: Write Each Section Once the page has been "prepped," all you have to do is fill it in! Remember your toolkit: • 1/3/1 Writing Rhythm • Single-sentence openers • Use subheads to separate sections • Alternate paragraphs & bulleted lists Make it easy to skim!
Step 4: Add Q&A After Each Section Pro tip here... After every section, your reader is going to be faced with 2 obstacles: • Questions: "But what do I do if...?" • Objections: "I don't agree with that because..." Pause and address these before continuing on.
Step 5: Mock Example Looms Don’t just “tell” the reader how to do something. Show them! • Pretend you’re in their shoes • Perform the step you’re asking them to take • Record yourself doing what you’re asking them to do This helps them “imagine” themselves doing it.
Step 6: Loom Review (Of Your Example Loom!) Here’s where it gets meta: • Record a Loom • Watching your Mock Loom • Pointing out & explaining “why” you’re doing all the tiny things you’re doing. This takes the reader 3 layers deep—and helps them internalize what’s happening.
Step 7: Finish Each Module With An Actionable, Measurable Assignment The ONLY measure for success for your digital product is whether customers DO something with it. • Give them an Assignment • Make it objective & binary • Hold them accountable Action > Information
Bonus Step 8: Get Beta Customers ASAP! Do not spend 6+ months trying to assemble the perfect product. Get V1 in people’s hands as quickly as possible—and then iterate: • Where are people confused? • Where are people stuck? Then, revamp to V2.
Boom, that's a wrap! Here's how to build a 7-figure video course: 1. Name The Modules 2. Prep the Page 3. Write Each Section 4. Add Q&A After Each 5. Mock Example Looms 6. Loom Review (Of Your Loom) 7. Finish With An Assignment 8. Get Beta Customers To see more inside PGA:
