Pup!Soap who likes to wear his collar when he's alone because it makes him feel secure and grounded. He hasn't had an alpha or handler since since joining the SAS and he keeps it pretty well secret. Until he's running late one morning and forgets to take it off before going-
To meet up with ghost. It's not an intricate or fancy collar; honestly little more than a strip of leather (it's old and it's not like he has anyone to buy new gear for anyway) but when he meets up with the other men, Ghost's eyes fall to his neck immediately.
"Going through a goth phase, johnny?" Soap doesn't even realize what he's talking about, having completely forgotten he never took his collar off, until ghost reaches out and hooks his finger through the D ring and tugs.
Soap's face flames red immediately. Goes wide eyes and stutters something about trying a new material for his throat mic that's more comfortable. Ghost's eyes glint knowingly behind the mask, completely unconvinced. "Cmom then, let's go meet up with Price."
Ghoat gives another look at Soap's mortified face (trying and failing to hide his embarrassment) before tugging once more on the collar, playfully. "Heel." Without even a thought, Soap stumbles into line at Ghost right. And oh, Soap is /so/ fucked isn't he.
A few weeks go by with neither of them mentioning it (Soap makes sure he never forgets to remove his collar in the mornings now) until one day, box is found neatly placed on his bed. When Soap opens it-
he finds a high quality leather collar, thick and oh so soft. A dog tag stamped with a simple little skull hangs from the ring.
