A trading range helps you to know where the market is headed, where liquidity is and helps you to also know where inducement is so you can pick your entry correctly and take your trades. Ranges work better with Structure. And with this thread...
You will get to better understand where the overall market direction is going cause they go hand-in-hand. Yeah. For a trading range to be formed, price must first print a protected low, which means price must have swept liquidity. That low must create a CHoCH and an
Inducement which is very important plus an invalidation of that inducement Before you then pick your entry. Invalidation is a break or flip β’ A sweep of liquidity β’ A CHoCH must be printed β’ An Inducement that broke structure β’ Plus invalidation (break) of the Inducement
Above is how a BULLISH & A BEARISH trading range looks like. Look at it till it becomes part of you. Important. Without the Inducement, a range is not complete and you will be doing yourself a disservice trading a setup without it.
There must be an IDM, invalidation of the IDM before you say the range is complete. Inducement = IDM See images of a range without IDM below The first is bullish The second is bearish This is a risky trade setup if you ask me
In the Bullish market, you buy below the inducement & in the bearish market, you sell above the Inducement. Again, look at this images till you understand them, study them on charts regularly till they become part of you I explained these very well in my Forex 101 Video Thread

Bullish & Bearish Case Study...
You should note that when price sweeps or invalidates the Inducement, that trading range is complete. So price can now decide to use your POI, FVG, Wick etc. to move in the direction of the market. Anyone you use among these entry types, you just find your setup and enter.
But once the IDM is swept, The trading range is complete already. Basically, STRUCTURE, LIQUIDITY & RANGES. Happy Trading Guys π I hope you learnt something from this thread.

Another case study to look into. Sweep, CHocH + an IDM that broke structure and my entry was there. Took this 1st $GU trade but not the 2nd. Seems I shared it here yesterday even. Same setup for the $BTCUSD trade.
