I disagree that you dress like Cary Grant. In this thread, I will list some of the ways in which your dress differs and why such important details matter. đŸ§”

@dieworkwear It doesn’t take a thread to say suits back in the day were baggy. Physique’s were much similar back then so there was less of a desire to set yourself apart by showing it off. Today is different. Snugger fits are to physique flex.

@Genghiscoq No arguing taste, but let's put it to the test. In slides 1, 2, and 3, I've included photos of athletic guys wearing clothes that follow these tailoring principles. In slide 4, I've shown athletic guys in snugger fits. Who looks better? People can comment below

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq I just took 10 minutes to read through a thread on suit fitting...and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I have no regrets. Well just one, I need to do some shopping 😅

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq 1-3 and it’s not close. 4 looks like the guys can’t even raise their arms. Did their clothes shrink in the wash? No one told them they had to dry clean, right? That’s it, right?

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq Fuck meee
what a difference
compared to the the others, the last ones really look like peasants..

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq When put in a lineup like this it really shows how drastically different they look. Everything in 4 is pinched, straining to stay wrapped around these guys.

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq Honestly, wearing a suit that fits too tightly because you're muscular just makes me think you're too cheap to replace or alter an older suit now that you're too big to fit into it anymore...you look like a teenager wearing a suit bought for him pre-puberty...

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq This thread literally changed my life

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq Every fit in slide 4 looks uncomfortable or sloppy.

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq #4 looks poured into the clothes. It doesn't make them look "fit" or bulked up or athletic, it makes them look sloppy and unconcerned about their image (as they are in the public eye a lot). Also to note that women do this as well, thinking snug and tight are flattering. The

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq I have responded with this photo before, but it bears repeating. NFL Linebacker Bobby Wagner is arguably more fit than the men in slide 4, and he doesn't look like he's busting out of his clothes.

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq Great examples here, Derek! Tristan’s suits look like they were made for a smaller guy and he’s squeezing himself into them. They absolutely do not look tailored for him. Whereas the other examples here do.

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq Definitely the first 3 slides. The 4th looks undersized, not a natural feel and honestly trying too hard.

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq That orange suit is amazing every time you post it.

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq Jason Momoa and Coleman Domingo in gold?! đŸ”„â€ïžđŸ”„â€ïžđŸ”„

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq Oh dear god. The snug fits are AWFUL. If you want to show off physique, it's fine, just wear appropriate clothing for it. A skin tight suit is NOT right. Just go for spandex. The guys in photos 1,2, and 3... those look hot. They look graceful and balanced.

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq Those tight suits in slide 4 look uncomfortable and cheap

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq After spending 10 minutes reading your thread, I not only can see that the first three look better, but I know why now too.

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq We can settle with #pizzazz

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq There is certainly a way in between the two extremes that are too baggy and too tight ?

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq With the education I just got reading your other thread about Tristan vs. Grant, slide 4 looks uncomfortable. Awkward, even. And looking uncomfortable does not look elegant.

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq IMO the guys who dress like the last frame always look like they are squeezing into someone else's suit. They never look tailored to their body, they just look too tight.

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq the suits in 4 simply look like they werent made for these people. and that is odd, since they evidently were - so i cant understand why one would choose to wear such an outfit in this case

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq The buff-dudes-busting-out-of-their-suits esthetic is the male version of the woman who wears too tight/too small tops to show off her big silicone knockers and too small skirts/tight yoga pants to show off her BBL. Same demo, same vibe.

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq Not only do the suits in 4 look bad, they feel like shit to wear. Having a properly fitted jacket and trousers that flow with your movements feels more elegant AND more comfortable

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq 1-3 look elegant. 4 looks uncomfortable and sloppy

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq IMO - the short jackets and tight suits of today look awful. No one, no matter how fit, looks good in them. They are not sexy. They certainly are not classy. I am very ready for this trend to pass.

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq Unless a guy is wearing a snowsuit, you can tell what his physique is like. Wearing exaggerated clothing isn’t necessary for it to be noticed. People who are attracted to that kind man know what they’re looking for and don’t need to be hit over the head to notice it

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq 1-3 are definitely better. The men in 4 look like they're wearing their kid brother's suits.

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq 1, 2, & 3 are definitely better styled!

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq 1-3 look fantastic Slide 4, well, they look terrible

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq It's impossible not to laugh thinking about Andrew Tate getting his arms into that cardigan

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq I'm far from being fashionably conscious, but I agree with your entire thread. My late mother would always note how the cut of a person's clothes can make a difference. Thank you.

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq Colman Domingo absolutely nails the red carpet look with that mustard ensemble. I love it.

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq Momoa looks freaking great

@dieworkwear @Genghiscoq Slide 4, what they're actually achieving is making themselves look out of shape. No elegance whatsoever.
