1/10 I think FriendTech absorbs two markets with this approach. First is obvious, second is bigger. 1) Influencers: First one is obvious, influencer groups, paid groups, OF girls, etc, get their own chat but tokenized, like in V1.
2/10 2) Memecoins: Since its no longer tied to Twitter identity, you can create a new FT room with any name and branding, and curve. So you'd instantly have: -token -telegram/discord alternative that has *all* holders -custom curve -AMM pool -Built in farm -exposure
3/10 Right now, things like @dexscreener are some of the most important startups in the space, and raking in money from discovery of new tokens. Tokens getting created though risk rugs, and often non-technical creators means no good farms, lockups, etc.
4/10 But: -FT is on base so its cheap -The FT feed becomes the discover replacement to Dexscreener -Their fork of Masterchef for farms becomes memecoin farming -It ensures you can reach your holders, unlike traditional memecoins.
5/10 And because Bunnyswap is the only place to trade those assets with its 1.5% FriendTech gets a cut of the volume of all the memecoins. Influencer memecoins on Solana were doing 7 figure blind pre-sales. Major memecoins do billions in volume.
6/10 The 3 challenges those creators have are: -Audience discovery. -Audience engagement. -Integrations. All solved by FT.
7/10 So while 99% of the market thinks of FT as fighting to make a new SocialFi category (hard) or to replace a web2 OF model (very hard), I think its actual value is aggregating the memecoin stack, which is much bigger.
8/10 It's DexScreener, Uniswap, Telegram, Pump(.)Fun, and Sushi Farms all rolled into one. And if even one memecoin on that platform reaches $1B/mcap it'd mean a *huge* amount of revenue for FT.
9/10 I don't think I'd have been bullish on them pushing the same SocialFi avenue they were on before. And while I don't think their trying to go after memecoins, I think it is the clear win from this model.
10/10 And if they lean into that narrative, and continue to expand the tooling in that manner, to be the de facto way that creators make cultural/meme tokens in the EVM space, that platform value could be massive.
@adamscochran Honestly What's the point of friendtech when people can just make their own tokens? All the main memecoins / social tokens have been tokens so far e.g. $TRUMP etc I guess it's a different UI... but is that really enough? idk
@KCryptoYT I mean half this thread is specifically outlining the advantages…?
@adamscochran grindtech
@adamscochran Who is this thread writing pengu and why is he talking so much sense on my timeline
