Last week, @geoffreylitt, @thesephist, @websim_ai, @TodePond and I hosted a bunch of our friends at @southpkcommons for a night of demos that explored how our interfaces are evolving. Take a look at the frontier these folks are building: (1/14)

To kick us off @geoffreylitt showcased Patchwork – a prototype for collaborative AI-native editing and version control in a new kind of operating system. He joined us from Ink and Switch, where he leads the malleable software research track. (2/14) https://youtu.be/5OaTk5q_CTc

@JanPaul123 represented Val Town as he demoed a new workflow for generating full-stack, interactive apps. JP is a man of many talents – he recently helped run @natfriedman and @danielgross's Vesuvius Challenge. (3/14) https://youtu.be/XXMAwpOCiMI

The next few demos centered around generative UIs, beginning with SPC member @sawyerhood's Windows9X. It’s basically Windows, but all the apps are AI-generated. (4/14) https://youtu.be/lOpXo5DtJyg

@maxbittker shared a recent exploration around malleable CRUD through his current work on the @websim_ai team. (5/14) https://youtu.be/AwmwQoQ-gLA

As our second headliners, @infinitefun_ and @RobertHaisfield – both members of SPC – gave us a tour of the imaginative internet their community is creating with @websim_ai. (6/14) https://youtu.be/FZckzrMV6Kw

The night’s third chapter focused on tools for thought, starting with @recollect_ai. @AliceAlbrecht is building tools to help knowledge workers easily make use of what they know. (7/14) https://youtu.be/zX4iabwTEkE

From @figma, @mihikapoor swung by to give us a tour of Figma Slides (“flides”), which incorporates a couple new AI-native primitives that push forward how people can jam on presentations. (9/14) https://youtu.be/v4QJ_wYJZ8I

@thesephist was our third headliner of the night, and he continued the conversation around tools for thought by sharing a vision for new interfaces that tap more natively into frontier models’ latent capabilities. (10/14) https://youtu.be/bPSq7oAd6-o

Our last three demos all come from the canvas. With Spellburst, @tylerangert focuses on parallel iteration and exploration as part of the generative process. (11/14) https://youtu.be/3JQGZ8U7WUc

@tldraw peeked its head in many demos here, and @OrionReedOne joined us from the team's HQ in London to showcase a future of “malleability without permission.” (12/14) https://youtu.be/z3v7qj6PxME

To close us out, @TodePond (also from London) gave us a wide-ranging tour of the features they’ve worked on at @tldraw that are pushing the boundaries of what a digital canvas can do. (13/14) https://youtu.be/jbiW124Imjo

Thank you all to those who joined, and stay tuned for our next event!

@GopalKRaman @geoffreylitt @thesephist @websim_ai @TodePond @southpkcommons Shout-out to you too @GopalKRaman , the holder of mics, host of epic spaces, and curator of voices.

@GopalKRaman @geoffreylitt @thesephist @websim_ai @TodePond @southpkcommons Those who are interested in better interfaces (for developers) should check out @isographlabs. Here's a video from last year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?... . Look out for the talk at @GraphQL Conf this year — the project is way further along!
