On the Origins of the Germanic People. I made this Graph to show that Germanic ultimately developes out of the Single-Grave, with the Nordic Dagger Period being a reflux of Single-grave derived Bell Beaker groups into Denmark, which under Unetice influence then become the NBA
Battle-Axe groups get supplanted in Scandinavia starting from the Dagger Period, with Scandinavian Daggers being found as far as Finland and Estonia. Nordic Bronze age expanded even further and became the Richest culture of the early bronze age through the Amber trade.
@VVeltkrieger I know this isn't an Unetice chart so doesn't matter but Unetice forms not only straight from Bell Beaker but from central Euro CWC plus influx of Baltic Corded Ware. Could add arrow flowing from CWC around BB into Unetice 🤷♂️
@DanDavisWrites Recently read up on this and Beaker-Corded cohabitation in around the Unetice formation area is a really interesting Phenomenon. I really wonder what the Dynamics were like, since in Bavaria early Beakers and Corded ware did not cohabitate and were exclusionary of each other

@Albanianismvs Read once that a sample from it is Slavic-like. Also (lithuanian) wiki claims its baltic... But most probably Germanic, just haven't looked into it enough

@caputaperi Its Contemporary with Nordic bronze age and Seems to be tied more with Central Europe (Specifically the Tumulus Culture) So no, Not relevant to the Formation of Germanics. Maybe they were something like Para-Pre-Proto Germanic though.
@VVeltkrieger Very interesting! I’ve 100% Irish and DNA tested everywhere and done almost every analysis possible on my DNA. The Ancient DNA samples I’m closest to are 2 Unetice samples, both from SW Poland. IMO the Venedi of today’s Poland were Proto-Italo-Celtic speakers and related to
@realPaulConroy The Venedi were definetly slavic, and mentioned way too late in historical sources to represent the Proto-phase of Celtic or Italic. Unetice is 2300bc-1600bc Venedi are mentioned... 1st century ad-6th century ad
