Low Timeframe Rotations I often get asked about spaghetti charts & rotations because it's quite a niche way of trading. So I'll do my best in this little thread to break it down. Likes, RTs and all that appreciated.
What's the goal? Find and long the strongest performing asset. Why? Well, if it isn't obvious, they tend to offer the best % returns and are 'easier' to trade on the basis that their momentum carries them up and to the right. How? That's a bit more lengthy...
The chart setup There is no sauce here, it's literally click "compare" in the top left of trading view and add tickers. To save you the time, you can take a copy of my view here: https://www.tradingview.com/ch... Now, lets get into how I use it...
1. Pre-planned rotations (using it as confirmation) Lets say I have a thesis that I want to long a coin. I can use relative strength as an entry method, combined with price action for invalidation(s). Example with $PEPE (notes on charts).
2. Reactive Trades Often these are news trades that simply manifest on low timeframes. A recent example that stands out is $XRP https://x.com/btc_charlie/stat... These are harder because you have less time to react, have to create a plan "on the fly" but once you've got a framework can
3. Longing based on strength/weakness Often I look at both ends of the spectrum; not just the strong coins, but the particularly weak coins too. For example, these caught my eye the other day. $BANANA for example there was a few wallets drained, so price sold off. In these
4. "Dialling in" to the next narratives/rotation I think a lot of this comes with time, but the low timeframes really do tell you where the market is focusing. This $WIF rotation below was early, but it was helpful. It was so exceptional because we hadn't seen WIF strength in
5. General Objectivity I often have the perception of X is the best coin or Y is the worst; whatever. Spaghetti really clears it up and makes it clear what is hot... and what is not. e.g. in my little basket $PEPE is the best performer of 2024... and $FTM one of the best
That's it for now. I have a lot more videos on this topic in @TheParagonGrp of course (shameless shill, why not). But if you've got any questions, fire away. Again, likes & RT's appreciated. Ta ta for now. - Charlie

@btc_charlie Gret thread! Couple of Q How do you decide on your starting βpinchβ point? Lets say you in the 1 min chart the pinch point moves automatically to the left every minute. Do you keep moving it back to the original point or do you just let it move away continuously?

@btc_charlie How would you approach using spaghetti if you only had 1-2 hours of proper screen time a day?
@btc_charlie For me, your spaghetti is super useful. Good to have it almost always open to see what's cookin'. Cheers, Charlie!
