@VVeltkrieger Messapic probably plays no role for Albanian other than as a sister language, also weren't Getae just another name for Dacian?

@Albanianismvs Getic is pretty much just a dialect of dacian yeah

@VVeltkrieger No independent Ionic? Also, what about Basarabi (Daco-Thracian) E-V13 along with toponyms more than likely known to Proto-Albanian speakers (Beskids, Carpathians, Niš, Štip) being in Daco-Mysian territory?

@philologueserbe I dont know

@VVeltkrieger Why Daco-Thracian closest to Greco-Phrygian?

@SigmaHyperborea Most of the Scholarship ive read places it in at least some proximity to Hellenic

@VVeltkrieger Macedonian?

@DytrykJesionek Its status as its own language or part of Hellenic alone is controversial

@VVeltkrieger Illyrian is closer to hellenic than thracian it seems. Paeonian is not present.

@joachimalthien What exactly makes Illyrian closer to Hellenic than Thracian? Paeonian could be anything, don't have an opinion on it

@VVeltkrieger Proto-Armenian was not developed in the Balkans

@languagestanci Yes i know, Still part of the grouping known as "Paleo-Balkanic". A better name would be Yamnayan since these languages would Descend from Yamnaya and Catacombnaya, maybe MCW as well

@VVeltkrieger Agree with all, except Daco-Thracian is CWC derived, with distant connection to Balto-Slavic, closer to fmr than later

@zg18Croatia Ive heard that theory but i dont buy it. Genetically and Archaeologically that link does not exist. Daco-Thracian Culture expandes outwards from somewhere in Serbia-Romania spurred possibly by Urnfield/Hallstatt migrations

@VVeltkrieger Armenian is earlier split from Greek than Albanian
