Hiring is a skill, just like any entrepreneurial skill. It's made of: - Interviewing - Onboarding - Training - Managing I've been hiring for 15+ years now. I even built and sold an 8-figure hiring marketplace in 2019. Here are some of my hot tips on interviewing:
Each stage serves its purpose: - Interviewing - Find a great fit - Onboarding - Setting Expectations - Training - Teaching them the right way - Managing - Getting the most out of them My advice: Master interviewing first and then onboarding
For interviewing 1/ The Trifecta - Skill/ Attitude/ Experience - Only hire if they have 3/3 2/ Personal Values - Growth/ Building over money - Learn about them personally
3/ Red Flags - Don't look for the right answers - Look for the wrong ones 4/ Not Being Ready - Great applicants get lots of offers - Don't stall and waste their time Nail the interview process & then focus on onboarding
