15 Dazai gives me the sensation that he wanted to open Chuuya like an experiment, because he was so fascinated by him. He wanted Chuuya to study him, but ended up being too attached. He really wanted to see Chuuya be tortured but not by the reasons people think.

When he said he wanted to see Chuuya to be tortured, he didn't merely said "i want to see Chuuya screaming in pain" I think he wanted to experiment again on him. "I want to see Chuuya suffer as a human being" Doesn't this sound like Dazai didn't know how did a human dealt+

with pain?

He was fascinated by Chuuya's resilience and the way he never backed off. Sometimes it became really annoying, other times it was really refreshing. That's one of the reasons skk's bickering is a way of making each other's masks fall. And partially, they do.

Dazai was probably the only person that wanted to "open" Chuuya, knowing he was human, to see how he worked. It's more meaningful than anything. So, Dazai will never completely understand Chuuya. Because he doesn't see Chuuya as a human experiment of his, not anymore.

He never looks at Chuuya cooly and analyses him. Did he try to understand why did Chuuya save him? I don't think so.

This was because I write 15/16 as someone cruel (not evil) in order to better understand Chuuya. He fails, of course. His attachment to Chuuya didn't allow him to stay back as he saw Chuuya losing part of him. So, Dazai might as well be completely obsessed (and he is)

I hate them so much. Ada Dazai doesn't do this anymore. I mean he does, but not like he did before.
