1/ The Music Man Facebook page was launched in March 2020 and since then has grown to 3.3 million followers. The 1.5 million likes indicates that they likely bought close to that many likes and the remaining 1.8 million they acquired organically.

2/ They’re primarily making money by driving website traffic from their Facebook page (pfffft and whoever said web traffic from Facebook is dead?!) - with 85% of their total traffic coming from “organic social.” They’re publishing 30 articles a week with their “outsourced” (see:

3/ Clearly their website traffic strategy is working, with over 5 million unique visitors in June and a steady state of around 2-3 million unique visitors a month in other years. They had a pretty big slowdown between July to October, as most of us in the web traffic did, with

4/ By producing a $#!% ton of super viral content, maximizing on big trends, a huge niche, celebrity recognition and using the image + first comment sharing approach. Below is their all time highest engagement post - as you can see it’s a simple image, looks organic and like the

5/ Since then they’ve developed a more consistent style for their website traffic posts. As you can see, even the posts that don’t get massive engagement are still getting a lot of interest as indicated by the number of engagements on the top comment.

6/ They are also doing a variety of post types - here’s another one of their highest engagement posts ever, a video of some girls singing. They have lots of videos like this which serve to boost the engagement and reach of the page, and also drive those video revenue share

7/ In the end, they’re not doing anything particularly special. What they are doing is all of the basics extremely well. To summarize: 1. They chose an excellent niche that can spread wide and far. They didn’t make the niche too broad (celebrities) and not too narrow either

9/ Looks like this same group is running an additional two pages with similar approaches, also sending traffic to the same website. https://www.facebook.com/t5sto... https://www.facebook.com/dance... https://www.facebook.com/IAmTh... Looks like 90-95% of the traffic is coming from the 3.3 million page.

@publisherinabox What’s the reason those pages do a geo block for their Facebook page and website ?

@BowTiedBiest they only want tier 1 traffic which pays much more, may want to avoid what they perceive as spam from other countries, etc

@publisherinabox Great page, but total volume has dropped a lot since their peak, and it's hard to say why they even popped in the first place. Huge #'s no doubt, but very difficult to replicate b/c it's hard to say why FB even allowed their page to gain so much reach (as it's not consistent)

@glproductions Their peak seems to have been in June. Dropped a lot leading to the elections, we saw the same thing. And now post elections everything is picking up again, as they are seeing too. Plus even if posts don’t look like they’re getting a lot of engagement, some still get a killer

@publisherinabox Whats the best niche to start a FB page now days? Is it still profitable to start a FB page?

@gauravkumar092 yes still super profitable, maybe more than ever niche depends on what youre good at... politics health sports music entertainment economy all these are quite good and more
