sefikura ecac AU — high school student seph is so, so lonely, while cloud, newly single and moved back, looks out for all the people in nibelheim and always gives a smile and a wave. seph can’t stand that this kindness is shared with others and not only with him… (thread)
cloud is a mechanic, and he seems to live alone. he’s an orphan, like sephiroth, but he remembers his mother, and he is so sweet when he tells seph that he gets that it’s hard and he’s around if seph ever needs advice. seph’s adoptive father is gone for months at a time…
his father is a famous scientist, and he keeps all sorts of medicines and equipment in the basement. seph knows it well, as he has been a part of his father’s experiments. he is relieved his father is gone, but he is jealous of cloud’s seemingly happy life. why can’t he have it?
so he has the manor all to himself. he can barely remember his mother after he lost her picture, but at night, he dreams about… cloud. cloud, who always hosts his friends at his house. cloud, who helps everyone and even teaches outdoor survival skills at the local school.
seph occasionally visits, and he knows cloud’s schedule all too well. cloud’s house feels a little empty without him in it, but he knows his routine and all his favorite things. how he makes his bed, what he eats for breakfast, what he reads, even his shampoo. seph studies.
it seems as though to cloud, everyone’s friend and teacher, seph is nobody. sure, he says hello in the village square and repairs seph’s bicycle, but… he’s nothing. cloud is perfect, at arms’ length, and seph is just another student. when seph hugs him, cloud goes stiff.
when seph says he likes cloud, cloud doesn’t seem to understand. he says he’s happy to help anytime and wishes him good luck with his university entrance exams—the same way he would talk to anyone. it’s not right.
seph can’t stand it. cloud is too kind. nobody appreciates him. they talk about his mother or his hair or his shyness, & seph hates them all. he’s convinced he’s the only one who appreciates cloud. he should be getting ready to go to university, but he doesn’t want to leave.
cloud stops by to help repair the heater at the manor. he mostly works on cars and motorcycles and bikes but he is the handiest person in town, and when sephiroth calls for his help, he comes over the next day. however, he’s surprised when it’s perfectly warm inside.
the heater is working just fine, but when cloud confirms there is no problem, seph invites him to have some snacks. as an apology for making him come all this way—since the manor is so isolated and far from the center of the village, it’s the least he can do. cloud agrees.
it’s very satisfying to watch cloud eat food that seph prepared himself. but eventually he tries to excuse himself, and seph can’t bear it. “why don’t you stay just a little bit longer,” he says, standing in front of the door. the way cloud’s eyes look around the room..
isn’t right. he looks… afraid. “just keep me company. you don’t have work today, right?” cloud is confused, asking how he knows that. seph refuses to move from the door, and when cloud tries to push past him, frowning, it all happens so, so quickly.
he’s the same height as cloud, but he’s stronger, & it’s an accident. he didn’t mean to. watching cloud stumble and slam his head against the table makes him sick, and when he tries to wake cloud up, nothing happens. his eyes are unfocused, & he is completely limp in seph’s arms.
like this, he is almost as beautiful as when he’s smiling and awake—and it’s certainly better than his confusion and anger at being prevented from leaving. his head doesn’t bleed too much, and seph does a good job patching it up. his father has injured him so many times…
as part of their experiments, so he knows how to treat injuries. cloud doesn’t wake up, so seph puts him in his bed, though he takes the restraints from his father’s lab just in case cloud wakes up & decides to run away. what if he hurts himself again? seph can take care of him.
he’s so peaceful like this, and when seph crawls into bed next to him, it’s almost as good as he’d imagined. cloud smells wonderful, and even the sound of his breath is soothing. he rests his head on cloud’s chest, listening to his heartbeat and kissing his collarbones.
his vest is open, and cloud is asleep, so he won’t feel it. and it’s so, so comfortable. to drape cloud’s arms around him, just the way he’d dreamed his mother might do… it’s heaven. cloud’s arms are limp, but it’s good enough for now, and he even whines a little…
when seph continues unzipping his shirt, exposing his body—even lovelier than he could have imagined, with a slender waist, toned muscle, and beautiful nipples that perk up under seph’s mouth. cloud still doesn’t stir, and seph holds him tight, torn between…
falling asleep like this and continuing his exploration. he’d always wanted a mother, and with cloud under his weight, he’ll never be alone again. he has all the time he needs. he latches on, resting cloud’s limp hand in his hair, and he begins to fall asleep.
he’s relieved. of course, cloud will eventually wake up—he hopes—and if he doesn’t, seph has plenty of medicines and chemicals to try to fix it. or to keep him calm. he’s learned so much from his father. and even if cloud didn’t like him before, seph will take good care of him.
eventually, cloud will understand he’s meant to be here. seph’s arms fit so perfectly around him. it’s as if they were made for each other, as if he’s cloud’s and cloud is his. the restraints won’t be necessary for long, he hopes, and cloud had enjoyed the snacks.
he will enjoy everything seph makes. his studies will pay off—he has everything stocked just for cloud. his favorite books, favorite foods, comfortable clothes in dark blue, and a huge bed just for them to share. it’s all so much nicer with his new mother here.
he’s so thrilled at finally having cloud that he is overwhelmed, licking and sucking cloud’s nipples and his neck even as he sobs. there’s so much of him to touch, but their argument had been exhausting, and he allows himself to fall asleep, happy for the first time in his life.
i would really like to continue this… maybe he takes cloud to the lab… is cloud permanently injured? or he tries to convince cloud that it didn’t happen the way cloud remembers, and cloud has always lived there… and he is sick, so he needs to stay inside. that’s right.
cloud thinks that might be true, and seph is so kind. his head does hurt, and he feels weak all the time. he can’t quite remember what else he is supposed to do, but seph handles his business and cancels his classes. he has to focus on his recovery.
he doesn’t seem to get better, though. he falls asleep easily, sleeping most of the day, and seph is always there right when he wakes up. the bruises on his arms are from the IV medications, and seph is such a good boy he learned how to administer them himself.
i don’t know what the ultimate confrontation looks like, or whether cloud ever figures it out, but he is staying in that house, where all his needs will be met. (and sephiroth’s, too—his mother is beautiful both awake and asleep, and he will make sure cloud knows it.)
i kind of like the idea of cloud never realizing what really happened. whenever he gets close, he gets headaches, and seph reassures him. “mommy, I’ll take care of it.” of course, his “baby” has grown so much, and he does everything for cloud.
seph gets rid of his “father,” or he’s lucky that his father never comes back. he has the house all to himself, and his beautiful mommy, who needs all sorts of attention and experiments to help his “condition.” seph is more than happy to play his part, looking after cloud.
when cloud starts to think this might all be wrong, looking down at his silk robe or his lingerie or the bite marks on his body, the headache returns, and seph is at his side immediately, reassuring him and kissing him. he’s such a good boy.
this is his life. it’s always been his life, right? it’s hard to imagine anything else. how wonderful it is to have such a devoted son, and such a lovely, huge house just for the two of them. his son is even studying to become a doctor, though cloud jokes it isn’t necessary.
