Taehyung froze halfway into the room, gripping the back of Jin's shirt. "Why's he so angry?" he whispered. Jin turned and gave him a tiny push. "Just sit down," he muttered. Slowly, Taehyung shuffled over to the couch and sat right on the edge, like the thing might burn him
if he got too comfortable. "What's going on?" Hana asked, her eyes darting between her husband and her son. Daehyun sat up straighter, his expression hard. "Did you bother to tell your mom that Mr. Jeon's son showed up today?"
Hana's face immediately shifted, her brows pulling together in concern. She turned to Taehyung. "Taehyung? What's your dad talking about?" Taehyung kept his head down, his eyes fixed on the floor. His chest felt tight, and his heart was pounding way too loud in his ears.
"Taehyung," Hana said again, her voice softer this time. "Did Jungkook come to see you today?" He still couldn't bring himself to say anything. He didn't want to. Telling them would just make everything worse—he didn't want them stressing over what Jungkook had said,
Everything that came out of his mouth would only make his parents worry more, and that was the last thing he wanted. "Taehyung!" Daehyun's voice was sharp now, a hint of anger creeping in. "Your mom's asking you something."
Taehyung flinched at his father's words, feeling a knot in his stomach tighten. He had never felt so restless, like his omega was trying to get out and react to everything happening around him. He couldn't keep it in anymore. "Yes," he said quietly, barely above a whisper.
"He was outside the café." Hana's face instantly went pale, and she hurried over to Taehyung, her eyes wide with concern. "Tae, did Jungkook do something to you? Are you okay?" Her voice was shaky, and her hands reached for him, like she needed to make sure he was alright.
Taehyung didn't look up. He just sat there, feeling like he was about to drown in guilt and pressure. He wanted to say something, anything, to make it better, but the words wouldn’t come. Daehyun's voice cut through the silence, sharper than before. "Hana, you should be asking
him why he didn't tell you! Why's he hiding stuff from us?" The words stung. Taehyung flinched, feeling his Father's anger weigh down on him. He had no idea what to say, and before he knew it, tears just started falling.
Hana spun around to Daehyun, voice shaky. “Daehyun, calm down! You're making it worse. Let's just hear him out, okay?" But Daehyun wasn't having it. "Calm down? I'm hearing things from the neighbors, Hana! Mr. Park said he saw Taehyung with the same alpha who ruined his wedding!
And I come home to find out Taehyung hasn't even told you what happened! What the hell am I supposed to think?!" Taehyung could feel his chest tighten, tears falling faster now. He was a mess, caught between guilt of hiding things from his parents and fear.
