In September 2022, Mr. Manda Krishna Madiga, a famous leader and the founder of MRPS, an organisation fighting for sub categorisation of SC reservations, has encroached into a land owned by my mother and few others, demolished our wall and built a house for himself in it 2/n

I was moving around Police Station, Municipal Corporation to stop the illegal occupation and demolish the illegal structures but to no avail! I approached the High Court to direct the GWMC to take immediate action and the court ordered to take action in 6 weeks 3/n. GWMC had to!

GWMC conducted a detailed inquiry into the matter and issued an order to Mr. Manda Krishna to remove the illegal structures built by him with in 7 days and if not done by him, they would do it themselves! Weeks, Months and Years Passed, No officer dared to even touch the wall 4/n

Then came the elections in Telangana and the General Elections. PM Modi and the BJP sought his support for the election campaign and he delivered. He held the biggest ever meeting of the Scheduled Castes in Telangana and hosted PM Modi! Things were aligning for him! 5/n

But the opportunity of getting close to PM was misused by his people. His brother further encroached into our property and when we protested, he filed a fake SC, ST atrocities case against my mother and me. FIR No. 346/2024 PS Subedari. Demolition still not executed. 6/n

That’s when I got aggrieved and wrote about this injustice to @rashtrapatibhvn @PMOIndia , Hon’ble CJI, @India_NHRC and other esteemed organisations. Him supporting the BJP, I was actually not expecting support from the Central agencies but from the ruling Congress Govt. 7/n

@rashtrapatibhvn @PMOIndia @India_NHRC Back in 2022&23, the local TRS MLA did not dare supporting me afraid of losing votes of a segment of people. A principal secretary level officer called up the GWMC Commissioner to not demolish. But the PMO and NHRC responded to my grievance and I once again started to hope. 8/n

@rashtrapatibhvn @PMOIndia @India_NHRC While the GWMC Commissioner and Collector didn’t respond to initial notices from the @India_NHRC ,they issued fresh notices to Mr. Krishna after NHRC issued summons to them. They went ahead to the site to demolish the illegal structures but faced resistance from his people. 9/n

@rashtrapatibhvn @PMOIndia @India_NHRC Mr. Manda Krishna approached the Telangana High Court to stay the demolition but to no avail. On 23rd Jan, Hon’ble justice ruled that the GWMC shall immediately carry out the complete demolition of the illegal structures in one day. Thursday 24th Jan, they were demolished. 10/n

@rashtrapatibhvn @PMOIndia @India_NHRC That evening, the sun was setting down but it felt like it was the dawn of justice! 2 years, numerous representations, hours in Govt offices, Police Stations and Courts, Fake FIR and what not! I witnessed the entire system of Governance!! 11/n

@Shubham49410904 To be honest, I tried short cuts, thought if I can offer some money and sort it out, I can have a peaceful life. I actually approached through multiple people. But he was way too arrogant. Realised I should try to show him that anyone can’t be undermined. Just stayed persistent!

@sidforbhaarat Waoooo, I don't know if you are lucky to get justice or I shall feel hopeful with our law. You got justice in 2 years against such powers and I know people fighting for decades with no connections and getting nowhere. This is for sure hopeful.

@truntrun_ It changed my perspective of the system too. But we should not be naive to think it will work always. Those who misuse the system innovate more than those who don’t. We need to find more ways to quickly get resolutions too.
