I like the idea that Ea-Nasir and Abraham met, because I'm really tickled by the idea that the scummy little petite bourgeoisie etched his name in history alongside one of the most important prophets of three major religions, basically effortlessly.

"Eh leme tellya something Abraham, nobody cares about your lil' delusions yus been havin. You no what people cares about? Copper! The kaching, that's the future old man"

@RafaelmenaI The copper in this dagger is high quality, you can circumcise a whole tribe in no time with it

@DucDeVinny "Eh that old coot will never amount to nothing" Is wrong but also proceeds to be the most famous merchants in history

@RafaelmenaI erm akshually the ancient merchant class was historically distinct from the bourgeoisies that wouldn't develop until the late medieval period ☝️🤓

@Debaser000 I'm very smart

@RafaelmenaI He was a merchant, not petite bourgeois that didn’t exist yet

@CompteRestanque Actually he wasn't a merchant, as the word originated in the 13th century.

@RafaelmenaI I mean he didn't really etch his name into history, the tablet was discovered in like the 1930s with Ur. Nobody GAF about Ea-Nasir for millennia until it was dug up 🤓

@theDiiKay And yet here he is, a legend.

@RafaelmenaI Ea-nāṣir is great but they’re not that important a prophet, imo

@vermillionBird Not that important a prophet, sure. But have you considered, the greates copper salesman of all time?

@RafaelmenaI calling someone who lived in 1750 BC petite bourgeoisie is making me lose it

@PunishedMu54359 Try and find it again because it's an apt term to describe Ea-Nasir's social class as a small scale merchant and business owner.

@RafaelmenaI Okay but you guys have still forgotten the funnier idea. What if he sold the nails that they used to crucify Jesus

@RafaelmenaI Plot Twist: Abraham was EA-Nasir who started a new life after being kicked out of Sumeria for being a con-artist.

@RafaelmenaI De qué chingados hablas w?

@RafaelmenaI petit bourgeoisie is so funny to be used in BCE 😭
