Myth: Muscle is built in the gym. Fact: It's actually built during recovery. So after helping 700+ men transform their bodies… Here's everything you need to know about muscle growth (& how to properly recover your body): 🧵
To start... How muscle growth works: Intense training sends signal to the brain. Recovery begins and the muscle gets bigger and stronger through: • Increased protein synthesis • Stronger fiber rebuilding • Stress adaptation No recovery = no gains. 5 ways to properly
1. Sleep Your body produces muscle building hormones during sleep like growth hormone and testosterone. That's why body builders take naps. Maximize your sleep with: • 7-9 hours nightly • Cool, dark room • No screens before bed Poor sleep = slower gains.
2. Nutrition Training without proper food is like building without bricks. You need: • Carbs for energy • Fats for hormones • Protein: 0.7-1g per lb The kitchen matters as much as the gym.
3. Rest days More workouts ≠ more muscle. Skipping rest leads to: • Injury risk • Overtraining • Stalled progress Take 1-4 rest days weekly. Never train the same muscle within 48 hours.
4. Active recovery Rest doesn't mean doing nothing. The best methods involve some form of active recovery: • Light walking • Mobility work • Gentle stretching Movement without any stress to the body is key here.
5. Hydration Dehydration slows muscle repair. The basics: • Half bodyweight in ounces • More if you sweat heavily • Clear urine = hydrated Water drives nutrient transport.
The bottom line: Muscle grows outside the gym… Not inside. So, if you want to maximize muscle growth? Prioritize the recovery methods in this thread, and you’ll progress faster than ever.

@Gabepluguez Muscle building 101: it's not just about the gym
@Gabepluguez Muscle growth happens outside the gym 💯
@Gabepluguez Unlock your muscle building potential 💪
@Gabepluguez Train hard. Rest harder. This is how you grow.
@Gabepluguez I find sleep too be the most effective recovery method for me. But maybe because I rarely drop below the protein intake.
@Gabepluguez Good advice bro.
@Gabepluguez 💪😎😁
@Gabepluguez The sad truth in my opinion, that going to the gym is only 30% of the job. If you are not eating, you won't gain muscle.
@Gabepluguez 😂😂😂Who says you can see muscles swelling in the weight room? It's a way of speaking. When the child grows up, we see him grow🙃
@Gabepluguez @MoralFitnezz Why is the American flag hung wrong
@Gabepluguez @TheCinesthetic I'm satisfied with my daily pushups. Pushups is better than lifting weights
@Gabepluguez @TheCinesthetic Good advice bro

@Gabepluguez Thank you for that overview mate. I didn't know about the 48 hours break between same muscle. Will definitely try that.
@Gabepluguez another thing you might not know: Myth: Cardio is the best way to lose fat. Fact: Strength training and proper nutrition are equally important for fat loss and muscle maintenance.
@Gabepluguez Switched from 1 to 2 recovery days per week and the benefits have been pretty insane. Recovery is that important for your health goals.
@Gabepluguez Biggest “recovery issue” I see: Most people cannot deal with complex movements & properly recover. Not impossible, but a much higher degree of difficulty. Isolation programs ensure that each muscle group is 100% recovered before you blast it again.
@Gabepluguez Wow great job 😍and good advice 😊
