#NeZha2 #哪吒之魔童闹海 #藕饼 Time for some more historical #Oubing, this is a Legend of Nezha comic from 1985. Nezha still killed Aobing in traditional fashion in their first meeting but while resurrecting him with lotus Taiyi also went to the trouble of resurrecting Aobing.

Having each died once they figured things are even and became good friends. Here the story picks up during the war against the Shang king where Nezha and Aobing just had a tearful reunion.

31 Ao Bing chuckled and said "Uncle Master, a white silk thread might allow some of us to cross, but with it being so fleeting and unsteady no army would dare to use it."

32 Jiang Ziya said with a smile "Eight Immortals crossing the sea, each showing their abilities! Whoever has the ability let him show it quickly!"

33 Nezha asked "brother Ao Bing, what's your plan?" Ao Bing smiled and said "I shell be the bridge". And with this he chanted some enchantment and jumped into the river. In the blink of an eye a long bridge spanned across the river.

34 Nezha clapped and said "Good! Good! Brother Ao Bing is amazing!"

35 Jiang Ziya also laughed and said "It's good, but the bridge is quite narrow, how many people can you fit on it?" Just as he finished those words there was a sudden loud noise.

The river water parted and between the silk thread and the long bridge an even greater golden bridge appeared. It was long and wide, spanning the two banks.

36 A way forward! Jiang Ziya happily gave the order and the soldiers of the three armies flew across quickly.

39 With the million strong troops having crossed the Yellow River, Nezha stood on the other bank and shouted into the river "Brother Ao Bing, the mission is accomplished. Come up quickly!"

Li Jing heard about Ao Bing having accomplished another great feat and he too came to the water's edge and stared at the water in amazement.

40 Yet, Ao Bing never returned to the shore and the long bridge still spanned the river.

41 Nezha continued to cry out for Ao Bing, but Ao Bing did not return. Worried sick tears rolled down Nezha's cheeks.

42 Nezha, saddened, suddenly saw the golden bridge disappear and the Loong King Ao Guang came floating in from the sea of smoke. Nezha was overjoyed when he saw him and shouted "Uncle Ao Guang, it's you!"

45 Ao Guang explained: "Don't be sad, nephew! I have already instructed Ao Bing. From now on the bridge will serve as a path forever to facilitate the travel of people." Upon hearing this Nezha burst into tears.

46 Ao Guang comforted him. "By the eternal heaven and earth, one day you will meet him again. I passed by here today and happened to notice the army crossing the river. I am fortunate to be able to lend a hand. But I have official business and I cannot remain."

And he turned into a gust of breeze and floated away.

I'm not really a fan of how Ao Guang is depicted in this story but I get what the story is about. It's said each generation have their own version of Nezha and myths are a reflection of people lives.

China in 1985 was not yet the infrastructure power house she is today so people longed for more roads and bridges and Ao Bing was happy to provide.

China in 2025 is dealing with transitioning from monopolar to multipolar world so this time Ao Bing helped Nezha to shatter the Tianyuan Cauldron.

An #Oubing sis, not satisfied with how this story went said fuck that noise, it's present year 2025 and it's high time we changed fate against heaven and gave it a proper ending and she wrote a sequel that really moved me:
