The Economist, a magazine as mainstream and centrist as it gets, reports this week that immigration is only a fiscal benefit to the receiving country if an immigrant at least has a college degree. Lower human capital immigrants, instead of "funding pensions" like politicians promise, actually end up on welfare and are a drag on public finances.
