JANEU: A sacred Thread ๐Ÿงตworn by Sanatani Mens.. ๐Ÿต๏ธโฃ๏ธ Boys/Married one, Have you ever worn it? It contains three thread and every single one has three other thread in it. The first 3 symbolise SATVA, RAJ & TAMAS Gunas and other 3 symbolises debt of PITRA, RISHI& DEV.

The three threads intertwined also stands for Creater, Organiser & Destroyer: Bramha, Vishnu & Mahesh. It is known with various names เคฏเคœเฅเคžเฅ‹เคชเคตเฅ€เคค, เค‰เคชเคจเคฏเคจ, เคœเคจเฅ‡เคŠ and many others.

It contains 5 knots which represents, Bramha, Dharma, Artha, Kaam & Moksha. It signifies the rite of passage from boy to men. It enhances purity, gives long life & divine blessings.

Married one wears a pair of it, while unmarried wears only single piece. The right way is hold it from left shoulder and let it hang under the right arm, hanging it from right ear prevents induction of impurities.
