I originally made a post months ago calling out this misinformation on the wiki when I first found this out. I made this post not knowing there's actually some pretty hard working admins who try their best maintaining this wiki, and simply don't know anything about old Roblox,

The wiki is constantly littered with vandalism by kids, and this takes up most of their time. So I'd like you all to realize I was not trying to undermine the Fandom wiki in that post; just make sure you have sources to prove claims. (long story short... blame poor YouTuber

NOW LET'S START TALKING ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED. The April Fools hack was caused by a group of PGers. The two users responsible for this were the users Minish, and Leeav. However, both of these accounts were actually NOT the original people who owned these accounts.

The user Olixx (also known as nickrules77) was impersonating Minish for years; after Minish was originally banned in 2009, she left Roblox. Olixx also owned the account DracoSwordMaster, ToothyDeer, Diana, and many other accounts that he impersonated and puppeteered.

The other user, Leeav, is actually not the og of this account either. Around 2010, well known brickbattler DaveDog actually had ownership of Leeav after the original, from 2006, left Roblox. The original Leeav was the creator of the famous Doomspire, and Leeav was once a forum

Around April Fools day, Olixx and Dave decided to try PGing and breaking into an admin account. By midnight, they had broken into well known user are92, and also broke into JJ5x5 around 10 AM, and began impersonating them on the forums.

By noon, DaveDog managed to break into Stealth Pilot's email (an admin's alt at the time) and gave the credentials to Olixx. Then they had access to the Roblox admin panel. (Confirmed via video, and an alt account owned by McNoobster)

By 5 PM, the account Minish was unbanned. Olixx then began to impersonate Minish on the forums, and also began editing users forum posts.

20 minutes later, Dignity, another well known user, was unbanned, and hijacked as well, being impersonated on the forums and accepting friend requests.

JJ5x5 and are92 also came back online around this time. Most users by this point thought that Roblox admins were pulling an April Fools prank.

Soon after, Olixx invited his friend McNoobster onto the admin panel by changing the password to Builderman and giving it to him. McNoobster then took over the account ROBLOX using the admin panel on Builderman. After that, he rewarded the user Minish with OBC, and 300 million

Olixx, as Minish on the forums, began donating upwards of 50m+ Robux via T-Shirt donations and limiteds. By 6PM, he purchased Merely's Domino Crown for 12 million, and coolboy10k's Darkheart for 6m. Minish continued donating and purchasing items until about 7:30 PM.

McNoobster then invited the user Pheedy onto the admin panel next. Pheedy then took all admin powers away from other mods, and gave himself admin. the account are17 was also hijacked and given admin. Pheedy was (you guessed it) also a sockpuppet account.

The actual "pheedy" account at this time was a joint allegedly owned by Madcodebrkr and qman1245 in early 2012 or something, and the actual Pheedy was also part of Mcnoobsters friend group under the username Phomton. I still need to look into Pheedy, though.

In the past, Merely actually sniped a Domino Crown from the user Nintendoboy. A lot of LMaD users on the forums hated Merely because of this, and so they would constantly threat him, and target him with exploits. Back in February 2012, (I think) the user Nintendoboy was hacked,

On March 28th, a few days before 4/1, Merely may have been hacked or at least had an exploit applied to his account, as he has like two pages worth of Cow decals in his inventory obtained in March 2012. I'm assuming he was hacked (or targetted with a script) by McNoobster, as

Right before 8 PM hit, McNoobster logged into ROBLOX and began publishing unreleased items from Roblox's backlog, naming them random things with seemingly random prices.

McNoobster then decided he wanted to make his own item, and drew up the "c:" face. McNoobster attempted to upload the face twice, and then attempted a third face named "hai guize derp", but the items were not whitelisted, so they could not be purchased. This seemed to be the case

McNoobster asked Pheedy for help in whitelisting the face for purchase, but Pheedy was busy giving himself admin (probably the user qman1245, who was given admin on this day) and him and Olixx were busy messing with other accounts, like Sirloin, 1dev2, and Yorick.

DaveDog/Leeav had already logged off for the day. StickMasterLuke ended up with the face on his profile, but it's unknown if he bought it somehow or if McNoobster rewarded it to him. McNoob also made some forum replies as the user ROBLOX on the forums. Someone also edited some

After this McNoobster claims that ROBLOX started fighting back, changed their password to the ROBLOX account back. McNoobster then went on Builderman and changed the password to Roblox again, and then he started posting all the site banner shouts.

The Pheedy and Minish accounts soon after this got deleted, and Pheedy's posts were basically all purged due to him swearing on the forums. Minish's ban note apparently read "Stop now."

McNoobster posted more shouts until roblox shut down the site around 9 PM. The Roblox game servers were still up and running. The next day, most users involved were all banned on their main accounts, and the catalog was unavailable most of the day. Rollbacks were also granted.

Most of everyone involved were pretty open about what they did, and often explained the story on alternate accounts. It's also worth mentioning someone controlling the JJ5x5 account referred to themselves as THE MINISHTERZ.

Most of these guys still had access to some of the accounts they hijacked, such as JJ5x5, where Pheedy began threatening Merely yet again around the middle of April; this threat caused him to lose access to the account.

Some other users that unfortunately got caught up in the bans was 1dev2, the creator of Town of Robloxia, who simply had his account hijacked. Later, a blog post was made by Roblox explaining the event

Interestingly, you can actually tell who logged into what accounts this day by looking at some old database leaks, and IPs attached to these accounts. There's a few users who also got banned this day for being involved, but I won't mention them as I cannot tell what they did yet.

So yeah, that's the full story! Ellernate, iTrapped, and Caleb244 actually didn't do anything until around May 2012, where Ellernate discovered a bug that let him gain access to the admin panel. I'll talk about this another time.. that's a whole other thread.

Olixx in present day probably still plays Roblox, I actually noticed he unfriended me on his alt and wiped his bio claiming he was Minish after I began doing my research, so I wonder if he found out. (Olixx if you are reading this I'd love to talk lawl). Other users involved
