Any nutritionist or dietitian using the word "Superfood" in their posts, reels or discussions is a science and health Illiterate. Beware of such self styled health coaches. Superfood is the same as Superman. Imaginary.
@theliverdr Chicken 65 is super according to me though
@theliverdr Chickpeas, lentils, and beans come pretty close though
@BradStanfieldMD Around here, Ghee (clarified butter) rules them all.
@theliverdr It seems you forgot the secret formula for making health claims sound cool: Just add 'detox' and 'immunity booster', stir well, and serve with a side of skepticism.
@theliverdr Everything is not about science. Leave some room for Art of marketing too, sir :). You have a maida parotta on a plate and a boiled egg with protein and vitamins and minerals on other. So "relatively" Boiled egg can be marketed as SUPERFOOD. That is all it is - art of marketing
@SpecialDad Health, nutrition, diet and medicine are all part of science. Those who think otherwise, are science illiterates. And we need less of them in our society.
@theliverdr Sir you know about Indian people mindset these morons will not believe in real doctor advice and hesitate to pay consultation fee but they will easily believe in frauds , quacks , and these i fluencers and pay with faith , don't know how this will change but it's sickening
@theliverdr The word “Superfood” wasn’t born in a lab. It was born in a marketing office. It’s a buzzword, not a clinically or nutritionally thing sound at all. Few talk science facts other talk marketing campaigns and tactics.
@theliverdr I have come to realise that all these ‘healthy’ or ‘superfood’ food items do more harm than good. It’s better to eat everything you like, but in 50% quantity.
@theliverdr Superfood should be something which has most or all the nutrients needed for humans. For example, egg and red meat can be called superfood.
@theliverdr Eggs are the only real superfood
@theliverdr Only superfood is balanced diet. healthy habits are 8 hours sleep, 1 hour rigorous exercise and lots of gossip
@theliverdr Sir, is it ok to take OTC multivitamin tablets like Centrum or should we consult doctor and take supplements according to our deficiency?
@theliverdr Curd is a superfood. Plain or as in Curd rice. 🙄🤭☺️
@theliverdr Moreover, some foods can even act as supervillains.
@theliverdr If someone tries to argue that I should eat X because it is a superfood, I roll my eyes. On the bright side, the muscles in my eyes have gotten a lot of exercise from these people. :P
@theliverdr Beef liver 🤔
@theliverdr You are literally the only one who takes evidence-based medicine seriously to the core. The rest of us mostly succumb to peer pressure and societal conveniences. But just out of curiosity, how do we explain hard science to rural folks whose entire worldview of the human body is
@theliverdr Who is #Ironman then? I'll give it to #Spirulina or #Seaweed 😂😂😂😂
@theliverdr Only Superfood is water 🤣 Nothing can replace it
@theliverdr Exactly
@theliverdr Amla ?
@theliverdr True. But unfortunately everyone including the educated fall for it.
@theliverdr Yes whenever I see the words superfood or detox or integrated medicine, I just stop reading.
@theliverdr Superman is real 😜😆
@theliverdr Sir, a short speech on world homeopathy day which is today.
@theliverdr True. Bt if 1 need to ideally introduce word Superfood that anyone can eat is whole eggs- except Carb, Vitamin C & copper it has everything in perfect ratio n decent RDA%. Another superfood is der bt not everyone can have it- Beef liver. P.S- Personally I'm eggetarian.
@theliverdr A marketing term…Indians have taken seriously…!!
@theliverdr Hi, your views on the keto/paleo diet? Many diabetologists are advocating it now.
