The @NRC_Norway aid agency in #Sudan has told the BBC that many people fleeing the paramilitary RSF have died from starvation or thirst in temperatures exceeding 40C (104F) .
The NRC’s head of operations in #Tawilah @NoahTayls says aid agencies in the town in the North #Darfur region had been overwhelmed by the arrival of up to 150,000 people.
In one case @NoahTayls tells us a girl was repeatedly raped by armed groups as she tried to reach the town. She later died of her injuries. Mr Taylor said starving refugees were eating leaves and charcoal and dead bodies lined the main road. #Sudan
