Note, my relationship to thoroughbreds are that I was one of the lucky and poorly prepared kids who got into one of the high schools they all attend. Because of this I have essentially been surrounded by thoroughbreds for the last decade and have seen the details of their lives.
Its hard to overstate how deep this goes. Even amongst thoroughbreds there are outliers where kids will be taking multi-var calculus by 8th grade and have incredible exposure to complex material.
