I heard from a good friend (a dedicated student of knowledge) about how one of his friend's wives experienced a surprising time with the Wives of the senior Habaib in Tarim, Yemen. She traveled there with her husband in search of knowledge and spirituality.
When she arrived at the gatherings for the women, hosted by the Wives of the Habaib, she was surprised at what they kept emphasizing: Service to the husband and home. Service to the husband and home. Service to the husband and home. The highest form of khidmah for...
...a married woman, mother etc. And this sister had mixed feelings about how to interpret such emphasis. On one hand, she was expecting some sort of structured curriculum paralleling what her husband was learning...
But on the other hand, she realized her intent for practical spirituality was actually being fulfilled through following such tarbiyyah. So, she just stayed home after awhile and tended to her husband and maintained her household affairs with excellence.
It wasn't even that she didn't value doing so before either...but she now had a newfound inspiration to take her service to her husband and home to a whole new level of excellence. What an incredible contrast to the home wrecking nonsense...
...that we see from celebrity 'shaykhas', 'ustadhas', and 'simp preachers' all too often. One team honorably guards the Islāmic patriarchy and the Muslim family. The other deceptively guards gynocentricism and the destruction of the Muslim family (from the inside).
