According to ancient Indian scriptures and the diktats of Vastu Shastra, sleeping with the head towards the east and the feet towards the west is best. This means an east-west bed placement with the headboard to the east is considered ideal.

The entire solar system is under influence of massive electromagnetic force. Earth is a giant magnet itself. Our body reacts to magnetic forces.

When we sleep with head towards north, our body’s magnetic field become completely asymmetrical to the Earth’s Magnetic field. That cause problems related to blood pressure and our heart needs to work harder in order to overcome this asymmetry of Magnetic fields.

Apart from this another reason is that our body have significant amount of iron in our blood. When we sleep in this position, iron from the whole body starts to congregate in brain.

This can cause headache, Alzheimer’s Disease, Cognitive Decline,Parkinson disease & brain degeneration. That's why we say everything that is mentioned in our scriptures has a scientific reasoning behind it.

According to the Hindu Shastras, a person should not place his head in the north. Ancient suggests that Yama, the God of death, resides in the extreme south. In many Hindu families, after de@th, the corpse is placed with the head to the north for the same reason.

This means that if we sleep with our head to the north, we face the south, and such a placement is prohibited. So, if you are wondering which direction to sleep, Hindu scriptures prohibit the placement of a head with the headboard to the north and the foot to the south.

So, if the home design makes it imperative for the bed to be placed north-south, you may consider placing the headboard to the south and sleeping facing north. This is entirely acceptable.

One more point , In Hinduism, the 8 directions are assigned to various gods and goddesses. Houses and temples are thus recommended to be built a certain way in the Vastu Shastra (lit. House Science i.e. architecture)

The North is assigned to Kubera (god of finance), and South to Yama (god of death). East & west are Indra & Varun (gods of rain & sea) respectively All structures from huts to temples are supposed to be on an east-west axis.

is generally recommended that a house shouldn't have any doors or windows to the south (because death might come in or something). It is assumed that the directional deities influence the opposite direction i.e. Kubera influences the south and Yama influences the north.

So if your head is to the north, you're in Yama’s hands. But if your head is to the south, Kubera is in charge. If you like the thread please like, repost & comment.. Please follow @Priyamvada227s for more threads.. Thank you everyone 🥰🙏
