Here we go again. @AP's story on Israel's alleged use of human shields is a repeat of an identical story from 2024 that appeared in @nytimes, @washingtonpost, @CNN & @guardian. Even down to the same decontextualized photos supplied by politicized NGO @BtSIsrael. 🧵

All 5 stories use Breaking the Silence, whose critics repeatedly allege, appears to frequently rely on “either fabricated or exaggerated” testimonies from former soldiers & are “motivated by financial & political concerns to further a pro-Palestinian agenda.” https://honestreporting.com/br...

@AP @nytimes @washingtonpost @CNN @guardian @BtSIsrael Here's more on Breaking the Silence from @NGOmonitor ⬇️ https://ngo-monitor.org/ngos/b...

@AP @nytimes @washingtonpost @CNN @guardian @BtSIsrael @NGOmonitor Breaking the Silence provided photos to @AP, as well as @washingtonpost, @CNN & @nytimes, allegedly proving the allegations. Given the lack of context and the poor visual quality, it is impossible to confirm whether images like this are evidence of anything.

@AP @nytimes @washingtonpost @CNN @guardian @BtSIsrael @NGOmonitor AP says it spoke to "several Palestinians and soldiers." Of these, only two Gazans are named. AP mentions two anonymous IDF soldiers and one whose testimony was provided by Breaking the Silence. This is not enough to prove widespread malfeasance throughout the Israeli army.

@AP @nytimes @washingtonpost @CNN @guardian @BtSIsrael @NGOmonitor That Breaking the Silence is the source for 5 virtually identical media stories in the past several months demonstrates how this is an organized campaign by the highly politicized org and is a prime example of the symbiotic relationship between agenda-driven NGOs and the media.

@AP @nytimes @washingtonpost @CNN @guardian @BtSIsrael @NGOmonitor When @AP & others use individual cases that go against the IDF's own Code of Ethics to tarnish Israel's entire army, yet fail to address Hamas' policy of using Gaza's entire population as human shields, that's not journalism, it's a double standard.

@AP @nytimes @washingtonpost @CNN @guardian @BtSIsrael @NGOmonitor Here's how we addressed the @nytimes story, which was the first of the five to appear: https://honestreporting.com/do...
