Background: Neither the Apostolic Nuncio to the United States Christophe Pierre or Prefect for the Dicastery of Bishops Robert Prevost (now Pope Leo) wanted Martin to be Bishop Pope Francis went over their heads on the urging of Cardinal Blase Cupich & Father James Martin

Martin inherited one of the healthiest dioceses in America With 49 seminarians & a strong core of active young families, the diocese was in the early stages of building a new larger Cathedral With many of these young Catholics was an appreciation for reverant liturgy & prayer

After promising to not touch Extrodinary Form Masses in his diocese last year He came crashing down on them this weekend, but not just TLM communities have been targeted, he's started a full blitzkrieg on all reverence in liturgy Here are some of his latest demands:

He has banned saying the St. Michael's Prayer at the end of Mass (a practice encouraged even by Pope Francis)

He has banned silent Masses (often done for even the most normie of parish's early morning Mass)

He has banned kneeling to recieve communion, altar rails, crossing yourself & bowing upon receiving communion & genuflecting to the tabernacle after receiving communion (again practices common among even the most normie of Catholics)

He has a banned altar services kneeling in front of the altar durring the consecration (most parishes do this at least durring Christmas & Easter Mass & its normative at places like St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC)

Women lectors are not allowed to veil

Any Latin at all may only be used in Mass if the Priest is 100% sure the entire congregation can speak Latin
