@BBCWorld 2/ The problem? Their sources were either: 📍anonymous 📍Hamas-run 📍or heavily politically compromised ...and the BBC didn't tell you that.

@BBCWorld 3/ Their key witness was an unnamed "local journalist". None of their own affiliations were disclosed. They merely parroted a story that Israeli tanks opened fire on civilians gathering for aid.

@BBCWorld 4/ The BBC’s reporters, Rushdi Abualouf in Cairo and Anna Lamche in London, weren't even in Gaza. Yet, they decided to jump the gun, and publish an article based on this uncertain report.

@BBCWorld 5/ As the day wore on, BBC changed the casualty figures FOUR times — 15, then 26, 31, back to 21 — while swapping sources from "medics" to "Hamas" to "the Red Cross." Meanwhile, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) running the aid centre said: NONE of this happened.

@BBCWorld 6/ GHF said Hamas fabricated the story & that they had distributed aid on Sunday “without incident.” Later, security footage showed no shooting and no deaths at the site that day. @BBC didn't show the footage & barely mentioned GHF’s statement. Why?

@BBCWorld @BBC 7/ Even after Israel and GHF debunked the claim, @BBC kept promoting a "he said-she said" narrative — pretending it was all still murky. It wasn’t.

@BBCWorld @BBC 8/ The @BBC also pushed testimony from a British surgeon located miles away from the alleged site. The BBC did not clarify to its audiences how that surgeon could state unequivocally that the incident had taken place “at the GHF aid distribution centre near Rafah”.

@BBCWorld @BBC 9/ None of the BBC’s reporting quoting Dr Ahmed Abu Sweid – also Abou Sweid – informs BBC audiences of his relevant documented political activities in Australia or the terror-linked record of the charity with which he works.

@BBCWorld @BBC 10/ BBC Radio and TV breathlessly repeated that "at least 31 were killed by Israeli fire" — after Israel’s army said it didn’t happen and after GHF denied it. They even repeated the baseless Hamas claim that Israel uses "hunger as a weapon of war."

@BBCWorld @BBC 11/ Does this all sound eerily familiar? It should. In October 2023, BBC falsely blamed Israel for the Al-Ahli hospital blast — a lie they still haven’t fully retracted. Now they’ve done it again.
