Forget ayahuasca. Your pineal gland produces more DMT than any plant on Earth. But 93% of people have it blocked. Here's how to activate yours tonight (no shaman required):
⚠️ DISCLAIMER: Breathwork and the Maha Bandha (The Great Lock) should not be practiced by those suffering from blood pressure problems, heart diseases, ulcer of stomach or intestine, stroke, paralysis and hernia. Also pregnant women should avoid this practice. Maha Bandha should
Lets start here: Pranayama is the ancient yogic science of breath control. "Prana" = life force. "Ayama" = to extend or regulate. It’s a direct way to manipulate energy, unleash consciousness, and have mystical visions:
DMT (Dimethyltryptamine) is known as the “spirit molecule.” It’s the chemical found in Ayahuasca. But it’s also naturally produced in your brain. Upon release, you can experience lucid visions, profound insights, and a state of full-body bliss:
When you practice Pranayama breathing, you trigger the release of endogenous DMT in the brain by activating the pineal gland. This DMT travels through the spine which is the master cable, conducting & distributing the 'Kundalini' energy to all organs... It’s a natural full-body
For thousands of years, sages and mystics have used the breath to transcend the mind and access divine states. Yogis like Patanjali, Lahiri Mahasaya, and Yogananda all practiced breath-based awakening as a core path to enlightenment. But this technique was only used my masters:
The technique is called Maha Bandha or “The Great Lock” Here’s how it works: 1️⃣ Exhale fully 2️⃣ Hold the breath 3️⃣ Subtly engage the throat (Jalandhara Bandha) 4️⃣ Subtly engage the core (Uddiyana Bandha) 5️⃣ Subtly engage the root (Mula Bandha) This inhale hold moves
This practice “pumps” cerebrospinal fluid up the spine like a wave of liquid light. When the charged CSF fluid reaches the pineal gland, it hits the piezoelectric crystal there, releasing DMT and opening the door to cosmic insight. That’s when visions happen. Out-of-body
But here’s the dark side: You can cause damage if done incorrectly. I've blacked out, crashed to the floor, concussed myself, and woken up convulsing. I did this twice before learning. This is not about brute force. It’s about subtle movement and energy.
The real secret is this: it’s not a “hardcore abs squeeze.” It’s a gentle, subtle exercise. A few rounds of coherence breathing 1️⃣ Exhale fully 2️⃣ Hold briefly 3️⃣ Subtle spinal wave 4️⃣ Subtle root-to-crown flow When done right it's like setting your nervous system GPS back to
BUT: Ancient Yogi's were not allowed to practice this let alone breathe through their mouths for YEARS Only gentle nasal breathing before initiated. This is to build up strength and capacity in the nervous system to handle this level of DMT release.
I recommend starting with these practices for at least 3 months: The foundational Box Breath (4–4–4–4) pattern: - Inhale for 4 - Hold for 4 - Exhale for 4 - Hold for 4 Repeat for 5–10 minutes. This balances your nervous system and primes the body for deeper breathing work.
Then move into more advanced techniques: We start with Kumbhaka. This practice features breath retention for deep inner stillness.
Next, Tummo This is the inner fire breath for energy and resilience. Also known as “Wim Hof.”
Sri Yantra (Nine Gates Breath) A sacred geometric breathing pattern to awaken consciousness and intuition:
These techniques stimulate the pineal gland, shift brainwaves, and producing DMT-like states of chemical release in the brain... Many such cases of people experiencing profound clarity, bliss, and visions doing the above techniques.
It's hard to cover the nuances of the Maha Bhanda great lock in a thread and I purposefully left out a few details for safety reasons. The fact is that doing it on the exhale hold is safer and better if you aren't experienced. If you're interested in learning more you can DM
Regardless, if you want to access these altered states you will need a foundation. Hard to one shot your way to DMT land without laying the bedrock. You can find these advanced breath techniques on the @coherencebreath app. Start for free here: https://www.coherencebreath.co...
