UPDATE 1/6: Flood operations are underway at several LCRA dams. Flows throughout the Highland Lakes are higher and faster than usual, take action to protect people and property that may be affected by the flood releases.

/6 Due to rain in and around Austin on Saturday, LCRA has partially opened a floodgate at Tom Miller Dam.

/6 Due to rain in the Bastrop area, levels at Lake Bastrop have risen and LCRA has partially opened a floodgate at Lake Bastrop. Releases from Lake Bastrop flow down Spicer and Piney creeks to the Colorado River.

/6 LCRA has two floodgates open at both Wirtz and Starcke dams. LCRA will continue to move stormwater down from Wirtz Dam, which creates Lake LBJ, and Starcke Dam, which creates Lake Marble Falls, and anticipates it may be able to close some of the floodgates Saturday evening.

/6 LCRA anticipates holding the floodwater moved downstream from Inks Lake, Lake LBJ and Lake Marble Falls, in Lake Travis, which is about 30 feet below full, and does not expect to open floodgates at Mansfield Dam, which forms Lake Travis.

/6 See the Flood Operations Report for more information on flood operations and lake level projections: https://hydromet.lcra.org/floo...
